The Power of Words and Our Future

On May 21st, I would like to share the FM Yokohama program "Yokohama Lagoon." I would like you to listen to this broadcast a little slowly.
This week, I spoke on the theme of "The Power of Words and Our Future." It is about the evolution of artificial intelligence, modern social conditions, human bugs, and our future.
Words are nourishment for the mind and heart. However, people disregard these words, exploit them, accumulate bad karma, and fall into bad karma.
In Buddhism, which taught information literacy for the first time in human history, four of the "Ten Evils"—"lying," "double-tongued speech," "harsh words," and "frivolous speech"—are precepts regarding words. Using lies, double-talk, insults, and excessive flattery makes oneself, others, and the world unhappy.
It is the end of the world if we cannot take responsibility for our words. Yet, Twitter and X have barged in, and the world is being swayed by "tweets." Everything has become a deal, only bluffs and rhetoric are focused on, and even presidents retracting their previous statements is commonplace. It is an era where words have become far too light.
In fact, Kaido Shonin, a Buddhist reformer, hated "monks." Or rather, he kept a strict eye on the pitfalls that monks are prone to falling into.
The teaching poem: "They deceive, the front and back of their mouths and hearts, the raccoon-dog monk wearing robes."
Whether it is because it is their job to have a good face and say good things, one must not become a monk who habitually uses different faces for public and private life and relies on underhanded tactics. Fortunately, the former head priest of Myoshinji hated people who were two-faced and taught his disciples strictly on that point. Even if words are sometimes crude, I think it is better than "lying," "double-tongued speech," "harsh words," and "frivolous speech."
I would like to publish a paper on "The Third Teaching of Shuge and ASI" in the future. An era is coming where everything will be meaningless unless we know that the third dharma gate lies not in knowledge, but in action and practice.
The songs were Lady Gaga's version of The Carpenters' "Close to You" and Vanessa Williams' "Save The Best For Last," and the "Bozu Word" (Monk Word) was "Avatar."
Thank you for your support.
Thank you very much.
