Diary (4/12-4/17)

4/12

Wedding day! Even though it rained the day before and the day after, it was sunny only on this day. I was so happy.
Seeing friends I've met at various stages of my life all in one place made me feel deeply moved.
As two individuals living together as a family, I'm sure we'll face many things in the future, but this became a precious day that I can look back on for support when those times come.

I got home around midnight, woke up at 6:30, and headed to Nagoya. After finally getting my hair done at the salon I wanted, I went to a SixTONES concert at Vantelin Dome. Going on a day trip for a concert the day after my wedding—I have to admit, that's pretty wild. I was in the 5th-floor seats, so it was far, but I was tired, so I was glad I could sit and watch. I'll watch the details properly when the concert DVD comes out!

When I nervously asked my husband in advance, 'Is it okay if I go to a concert the day after our wedding?', his reaction was, 'Why are you asking for permission? Besides, you're a stamina monster.' This is exactly what's great about him! He never forces anything on others based on 'common sense,' 'what a woman should do,' or 'what a wife should do.'

Before the concert, I went to a hair salon for the first time in nine months and chopped my hair off. It's been exactly two years since I moved to Tokyo, but somehow I always end up getting my hair cut when I go back to Nagoya. It's not that I have a strong preference, but there are so many options for hair salons in Tokyo that I never know what to use as a deciding factor.

My heart was still floating from the afterglow of the wedding and the concert, but having work to do forced me back into my daily routine, which was good. Still, my body was exhausted, and I fell asleep right after dinner.

I walked two stations to get to work. The weather was warm enough to make me sweat while walking. I think I'll need a parasol when I walk outside soon. For dinner, I made stir-fried lotus root, maitake mushrooms, and chicken, cucumber with tuna mayo, and simmered eggplant. The place where I notice the change of seasons first is the vegetable section at the supermarket. Tomatoes, green peppers, eggplants, myoga ginger, and shiso leaves have started to become cheaper.

I went for a walk in the morning and then to Pilates. It felt great. After finishing my remote work, I headed to Shibuya. I went to a podcast event I had been looking forward to.
#WorkingWomenAndTonashiba
It was a joint event (a battle of the bands style) for two of my favorite shows, and it was amazing.

・Getting angry, not being able to get angry
・Particularities about work
・Ideal workplace
・Friendships after becoming an adult

It was really interesting to hear the three of them talk, sometimes relating to it and sometimes not understanding it at all. There were so many themes that made me think, 'I want to talk about this too...!'
I learned about many interesting podcasts through the #TeaPartyToTalkAboutWork open chat, so I want to listen to more.

Pilates → remote work → salad bowl dinner at the Hikarie food hall → live podcast event—it was a day that embodied the life of a woman in her late 20s working in Tokyo. Should I have filmed a vlog of the sounds?

My husband left for a 4-day, 3-night trip to Guam to attend a friend's wedding. Lucky him. The aloha shirt he was given in advance for everyone to wear at the ceremony was skin-tight, so I wonder what he's planning to do about that...
During my lunch break while working from home, I made Akari Hasegawa's dashi curry. I discovered this recipe the summer before last, and I relied on it many times during the summer both that year and last year. I look forward to having it again this year.

At night, I went to an event for my favorite poet, Maho Okamoto. It was a talk event with Harajuku-san from Omocoro Channel. It was fun. I want to stock up on the punchlines I find so that I can unleash them when the opportunity arises.

I basically think of Twitter as a pile of absolute crap and garbage, but it really is the most useful place for catching information about events like this. So, even though I've thought about quitting many times, I've kept it up until now.
I guess I'll just have to keep looking for treasures in the pile of crap, thinking of it as media literacy training. While keeping a healthy distance, of course.

It's been a whirlwind of hosting and attending events. My body is tired, but my heart is warm.

Since I started note, I decided I would update at least once a week, and I've kept it up so far.

I have a few themes stocked up that I want to write about in depth, like travel records, but I'm having trouble getting started. I feel like I'm escaping into writing diaries that I can write casually.

As something only I can write, I want to write about what I felt and experienced in the medical field during the COVID-19 pandemic someday. However, my feelings and memories are still scattered and I've kept my distance from them, so I don't know where to start.

Diaries are just plain fun, so I'm going to keep writing them!
