~Exercise Log~ A story about being in a sports club during my student days
Hello everyone😊
Since it's a note topic, I'd like to talk about myself for a change.
It might end up like a diary, but please bear with me until the end if you're interested😺
How I ended up joining the track and field club in junior high

When I entered junior high, there was a trend at the time that you had to join some kind of club activity😥
It was effectively semi-compulsory, so I actually didn't want to join any club at all😵
After all, it was far away since I had to commute by bicycle, which took about 30 minutes😮
In the Reiwa era, if you were to say something like "Join a club!", it would cause a firestorm😖
I joined the track and field club out of inertia.
(Since I wasn't exactly slow)
I was a middle-distance runner

I didn't have the explosive power of a sprinter, nor did I have the stamina of a long-distance runner😞
So, I did my best as a 400m or 800m runner😀
My results as a track athlete were average; even when I occasionally took first place at the district tournament, I didn't stand out, finishing only 5th at the prefectural tournament😥
Track practice was surprisingly tough, and at times I had to sacrifice my own time to train. (There was pressure from those around me to produce results😥)
Joining the track team improved my physical fitness, but the training itself wasn't fun, so I personally decided to end my track career in junior high school...
A fresh start! Joining a badminton club in high school

When I entered high school, I decided to try a sport I actually wanted to do.
For some reason, the high school I attended didn't have a badminton club, so I ended up joining a local badminton club.
This is because I had wanted to try badminton for a while and thought it looked fun😸
Since I had built up my basic physical strength during my time on the track team, I didn't have much trouble in the process of learning the basic movements of badminton.
If anything, I had a strong desire to enjoy playing badminton😸
It was fun, but my ability was...

It was a sport I tried for the first time, but my ability was mediocre...
It was neither good nor bad, I suppose😐
In tournaments, I made it to about the third round of the regional competition, but I never won a championship...😓
It started to feel a bit different from what I imagined, so I ended up quitting the club after one year😞
It is true that I was able to enjoy badminton itself!
I was in the 'go-home club' for the remaining two years of high school, so I feel like I really enjoyed my youth.
That concludes my exercise record😊
