~Reading Log~ A story about how I used to frequent the library and got hooked on Japanese history manga

I actually wanted to publish a paid note, but I've decided to prioritize the note topic instead🐈

This is the second one I'm introducing, and it's a story about reading📗

It might end up being like a diary, but please bear with me until the end if you're interested😺

I became interested in Japanese history because of a game

The reason I became interested in history was because of a game called "Nobunaga's Ambition."

Simply put, "Nobunaga's Ambition" is a game where you aim to "unify the country" during the turbulent Sengoku period, bringing all of Japan under one rule🎮

I was quite hooked on it at the time, and I especially played the "Tenshoki" series to death. (And since it was the customizable 'with Power-Up Kit' version, I played it even more)

From there, I became interested in Japanese history, and it felt like my interest expanded to the Edo period, the Kamakura period, and so on😊

I got curious and read through all the Japanese history manga books in the library

People who aren't interested in Japanese history might think, "What on earth is that about?"

"Himiko? Who's that?" or "Fujiwara no Michinaga, he's a court noble, right? I don't know anything else."
Yeah, well, I understand what you mean.

However, once I actually started reading them in manga format, it became easier for the character portraits to sink into my mind, and I naturally started thinking, "So this historical figure was like this."

Moreover, while reading, I didn't feel much discomfort at all.

If this had been a novel version, I wouldn't have read it, but because it was a manga, it was easy to grasp the characters' images, and I was able to read through everything from the Jomon period to the Showa period (there was no Heisei).

Because of that, I was able to smoothly grasp the flow of history from the Jomon period to the Showa period, and I had absolutely no resistance toward Japanese history.

Besides, it's surprisingly interesting. After all, the episodes of historical figures are depicted just as they are in the manga, so it's structured a bit like a story.

People who became history buffs later on might feel a bit like they missed out if they didn't read the "Japanese History" manga.

But, it's okay.

If you weren't able to read them during your student days, you can read through them all by purchasing this binge-reading set!😀
(Since we can't go to the school library now that we're adults, after all.)

As a result, my grades in "Social Studies" improved

Because I had been reading extensively about Japanese history, my grades in the history section of Social Studies improved, and I even scored 100 once during junior high school.㊗️

Also, by looking at the geography atlas and reading it over and over, I grasped the topography of Japan, which led to improved grades in the geography section as well.😊

However, after entering high school, I majored in world history, so I said goodbye to Japanese history, but I think of it as a good memory.
