[Prompt Reveal] This might be the last one!? I tried making a battle video by profession using Sora2
First, some unfortunate news.
As I wrote before, Sora2 ended on April 26th. (The API and model are scheduled to be terminated by September 24th.)
I believe most people reached a certain stopping point in their use of Sora2 on April 26th.
Therefore, the generative AI video I am introducing this time might be the last one.
As a theme fitting for the end, I recreated what kind of skills and magic characters from an isekai fantasy, such as heroes and sages, use to wipe out their enemies.
I produced a so-called battle video.
Since it's the last one, I will share everything with you, the viewer, including behind-the-scenes stories and the difficulties I faced during production.
I will also reveal the prompts I used to create them, so please use them to help with your own AI video creation.
First, as a premise, I gave all instructions to Sora2 using English prompts.
I will introduce each work one by one.
A hero mowing down small-fry enemies
In a nutshell, I recreated a scene where a hero is mowing down enemies with an intermediate skill.
Based on my initial attempt, I was able to create the general framework on the first try, but the fine details were a bit... 😅
Getting the skill name 'Zephyr Sweep' to come out was tricky; it was either read in a monotone voice or whispered too quietly...
I had to redo this part about five times just for that.
If you decide on the number of enemies in advance, it becomes stable, but since I didn't specify the number at first, there were too many enemies for Sora to handle well, causing them to appear in strange shapes, which felt very unnatural.
Some of the enemies fell in such an unnatural way that I actually wondered, "Is this okay?"
However, I was able to create the Hero version without much trouble.

Create a 10-second anime-style isekai fantasy battle scene. A young male hero in his early twenties, wearing light fantasy armor and a short cloak, stands on a forest road and faces a wide group of 8 to 10 generic armored grunt enemies. He clearly shouts in Japanese, ゼファー・スウィーブ！, then performs a strong horizontal sword slash. A large blue-white wind blade sweeps across the battlefield and defeats the enemies all at once. The enemies should fall in a smooth and natural way: some are pushed backward, some lose balance and collapse, some are knocked sideways. Keep their motion fluid and readable, not chaotic or broken. Use strong wind effects, dust, and light particles, but keep the action easy to see. End with the hero standing calmly while his cloak and hair move in the wind. No subtitles, no on-screen text, no blood, no gore, no modern weapons, no sci-fi elements, no broken motion, no exaggerated ragdoll movement.
The Sage burns away the goblins
In short, I recreated a scene where a sage burns away goblins with a spell of moderate power.
My first impression after making it was that it was underwhelming 😥
This is because there were many issues, such as the magic being too powerful or the goblins not disappearing...
It was more difficult than the Hero version.
I didn't have trouble with him casting the spell silently by saying "Flame Burst!", but the issue was the effective range of the magic.
That was the part I struggled with the most.
Also, how the effects would spread out.
I redid it about 10 times just for the final finishing touches.
In the end, I was able to recreate the effect of magic cast on one goblin spreading to the surrounding area, so the Sage version is complete.

Create a 10-second vertical 9:16 anime-style isekai fantasy battle video. A young male sage or high magician stands in an open forest clearing with a staff, facing exactly 7 goblins. Fiery magic gathers at the tip of his staff. He shouts in Japanese voice, フレイムバースト！. A fireball hits one front goblin, then a circular fire explosion spreads outward about 5 meters and engulfs all 7 goblins. The goblins are burned away into ash with no blood or gore. Show sparks, embers, and heat haze. The sage remains standing calmly after the attack. A martial artist purifies a skeleton
To be honest, the martial artist edition was the hardest to produce 😅
Unlike the hero and sage editions, because it involves direct "punching" scenes, Sora often rejects the prompts 😥
I tried to create a scene where they punch the skeleton directly and the bones shatter, but it kept saying, "This content may violate our safety guidelines regarding violence."
It really breaks your heart when that happens over and over, doesn't it?
I had to redo the martial artist edition over 20 times, so of course, I couldn't finish it in one day.
Honestly, I thought about giving up on the martial artist edition.
But since this will be my last time making a video with Sora2, I kept going without giving up.
I changed my perspective a bit and switched to a technique that purifies the skeleton.
Thanks to that change, the message "This content may violate our safety guidelines regarding violence" appeared less frequently.
Also, I was really particular about the subtitle "Akukotsu Jouha" (Evil Bone Purification Strike).
Without a subtitle, it would be confusing, and I felt that would be unkind to the viewers.
Besides, don't you think it looks kind of cool when kanji is displayed?
That's why I tried several times until I successfully added the "Akukotsu Jouha" subtitle.
After much trial and error, it was finally completed.

Create a vertical 9:16 anime-style isekai fantasy action video. A red-haired young female martial artist in a Chinese-inspired fantasy combat outfit fights exactly 5 skeleton enemies in an ancient fantasy ruin.
She must loudly and clearly shout in Japanese:

At the same time, show only one large subtitle:
Evil Bone Purification Strike
Make the subtitle big, bold, white with dark outline, center-lower, stable, and easy to read for 1 to 2 seconds.
She then attacks the 5 skeletons one by one with very fast martial arts moves, leaving red afterimages. Each skeleton is purified and dissolves into white light and pale blue glowing particles. End with a cool finishing pose.
Anime fantasy style, strong special move feeling, clear Japanese shout, readable Japanese subtitle, satisfying action.
No blood, no gore, no graphic destruction, no extra text, no English text, no modern or sci-fi elements.

I have decided to take a break from video production with Sora2 for now.
However, this does not mean I am stopping video production itself.
While applying what I have learned from experimenting with Sora2, I plan to continue creating works in different forms using other tools like Pollo AI in the future.
When the tools change, the atmosphere and movement that can be expressed might change a little as well.
That is why I am looking forward to seeing what kind of works I will create next.
