Do you know how much water you should drink a day for your health?
It's a beautiful day today, isn't it?
Hello.
I'm Satoru.
There are many experts on note, such as health experts, medical professionals, beauty experts, and therapy experts, right? One thing they all agree on is this:
You need to drink water for your health.
But you don't know how much you should drink, do you? So, I looked into it, and this is generally what I found.
For healthy adults, the amount of water needed per day is approximately 35ml per 1kg of body weight.
To put it simply, if you weigh 50kg, you need 1.7L; 60kg, 2.1L; and 70kg, 2.4L. It's a bit of a rough estimate, butI think it's safe to remember that you need at least 2L a day on average.
(Some readers have pointed out thatconsuming a large amount in a short timecan lead to water intoxication. Please try to drink 2L throughout the day rather than all at once. This is just a guideline, as it also depends on where you live, your living environment, and your physical strength.)
Of course, food also contains water, which counts toward this 2L, but it means you need to be conscious about drinking about 2L of water.
Our bodies are made up of about 60% water. It is said that about 40% is intracellular water and about 20% is extracellular water, such as blood and lymph, so you can see how important water is.
Furthermore, waste products carried by the blood are filtered in the kidneys along with a large amount of water and excreted from the body as urine. The average daily urine output for a healthy person is said to be about 1.2L. It is said that you need to excrete at least 500ml of urine to fully eliminate waste products.
So, it's definitely better for your body to make an effort to drink water properly, right? But isn't it hard to drink 2L of water?
For the past three years, I've been able to consistently drink over 2L of water using a certain method. It's not difficult. I use a Nalgene bottle.

There are tons of copies of Nalgene bottles at 100-yen shops, but I'll explain them just in case.
Nalgene bottles were developed in the United States as outdoor storage containers. Their unique cap design provides excellent sealing performance without the need for a gasket, making them leak-proof and resistant to odor transfer.
Another feature is their excellent heat and cold resistance, capable of handling temperatures from -20°C to 100°C. You can pour boiling water into them or freeze them. They are lightweight and suitable for carrying, but because they are 200 times stronger than glass, they are highly durable and can be carried with peace of mind.
Nalgene bottles generally refer to the plastic type. Because they use high-quality plastic, they are suitable for storing drinks like water, coffee, and wine, as well as alcohol. They are also useful for storing not just beverages, but also solid food items.
Because of this high airtightness and convenience, they began to be used for outdoor activities like hiking and camping, and the expansion of their lineup has led to their current popularity.
However, in my experience, it's not just about using a Nalgene bottle. Basically, I think all the Nalgene bottles you see are the wide-mouth type like in the photo above.
I use the narrow-mouth type of Nalgene bottle. It's about one size larger than the mouth of a plastic bottle. I use a 1L Nalgene bottle.

This is really easy to drink from. You can gulp it down. I can drink about 500ml in seconds. That's why I consistently drink 2L every day.
Some might say, 'Isn't a plastic bottle fine?', but these are easy to wash and can be boiled. They are hygienic. Plus, they are durable and can be used in any situation, whether outdoors or indoors.
Especially when working from home, you don't drink nearly enough water unless you are conscious of it. That's why I recommend Nalgene bottles, as you can clearly see how much you've drunk.
The temperature will be rising from now on, so please try using one if you'd like. It's more fun than drinking from a boring cup or plastic bottle.
Thank you for reading until the end. See you tomorrow♪
