It might not pay off, but why not give it a try?
It's a beautiful day today, isn't it?
Hello.
I'm Satoru.
Today, I'm going to tweet a little bit about my work.
I do a lot of different things, but
one of my professions is being a sales copywriter.
Right now, I've spent months
working on a content holder's
test sales promotion,
• writing the lead-in email newsletter copy,
• landing page copy,
• sales page copy, and
• closing scenario copy.
I've been involved in creating all of that,
and since the test sales started,
things have been going quite well.
We aren't at the final stage
of the promotion yet, but
the opt-in registration rate is 59%,
the project application rate is 15%,
so it's looking really good.
Of course, the reason it went well
is that the content holder
is a person of incredible talent.
But if the copy leading up to that
had been bad, people wouldn't have even
opted in in the first place,
so as someone involved, I'm happy.
My work is clearly reflected in the numbers,
so it's often tough, but when the numbers are good, honestly, I'm happy!
Since this is a test sale,
we can make further
adjustments and improvements for the main launch,
so I'm looking forward to what's next.
One of the good things about internet-based
sales is that the numbers
show clear results.
In the real world, this is often quite ambiguous,
and in many cases, you invest money
but the results or processes remain invisible.
Well, promotions and
advertising are just business, so
that's fine,
how do you feel when you take on a challenge
where the outcome isn't guaranteed?
Fear?
Anxiety?
Can I really do this...
Is this beyond my capabilities...
What if I cause trouble for others...
I'm worried about being rejected...
At times like that, there are words that can lighten your heart.
If taking on a challenge guaranteed a reward, everyone would surely do it. Continuing to put in the same passion, energy, and motivation where there might be no reward is extremely difficult, and I believe that is what talent truly is.
Just by taking on a challenge, you and I are already special.
Doesn't that thought give you courage and energy?
I always use that mindset to encourage myself
when facing work where the path ahead is unclear.
Thank you for reading until the end.
See you tomorrow!
