Harp Activities in the Second Half of 2025
I am reaching the end of the year feeling happy and grateful for my harp performance activities and lessons in 2025.
Candle Night in Miyakonojo
On the summer solstice, June 21st, a Candle Night event was held, hosted by Miyakonojo Machizukuri Co., Ltd..
There were many lovely lights glowing, created by children who drew and colored them with images of stars and the universe in mind.
Outside the hall, there was a shop selling gentle snacks and home-roasted coffee,
Pon Pon mum.
As the opening time approached, many candles were lit one by one.
Watching the gentle lights spread, I believe the guests spent a relaxing and quiet time.
A talk about stars by Mr. Toshio Minobe of the Miyakonojo Tachibana Observatory.
Stories about the summer solstice sky, the starry sky, and stars.
While looking at the slides, we were able to hear many interesting stories.
During Mr. Minobe's talk, I performed improvisations on the Saul harp as background music, inspired by the slides and the stories.
The sun, Mars, Mercury, and so on.
In my imagination, I played the Saul harp freely as I pleased.
Next, I performed songs related to stars on the Irish harp.
And after the star lecture ended, a harp trial session was also well-received.
Thank you to everyone who took care of me.
Heart to Heart Charity Concert
The Heart to Heart Charity Concert, which I have been participating in for over 25 years, is an event where I can feel a warm atmosphere every year.

Members of the Lyra Association performed solo and ensemble pieces at the Miyazaki City venue.
It was a concert packed with the heartfelt wishes of all the organizers.
Hoping to create a space filled with kindness.
And I performed while wishing for a warm time.
Thank you to everyone who took care of me.
Hot Salon Tanabata Concert
The Hot Salon Tanabata Concert, which parents and children can enjoy together.
To ensure the guests would be happy, the staff had prepared colorful Tanabata decorations, strips of paper, and cute paper fans in advance.
Violin and Irish harp ensemble performance.
Inami Kuroda Violin
Satoko Horinouchi Harp
When the performance began, a baby fell fast asleep.
Children were moving their bodies to the rhythm.
A baby crawled toward the performers during the performance.
I felt very happy to meet everyone's smiles through music.
I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who took care of me.
Hot Salon has been holding wonderful events for parents and children for over 10 years.
I sincerely hope that the smiles of everyone involved will continue to spread.
Performances by harp students
This year, we expanded the scope of our activities, including harp ensemble performances with my students.
Welfare facilities.
Cafes.
Children's associations.
For those learning an instrument for the first time.
For those who couldn't read sheet music.
If you continue with a love for it, you will gradually be able to play.
Performing in front of others also requires a lot of courage.
By practicing repeatedly and performing in front of others, we can enjoy leveling up together♪
Museum Harp Concert
I performed the harp at the Miyazaki Prefectural Art Museum as one of the events held during the "Hiroshima Museum of Art Collection" exhibition.
I chose songs inspired by the Hiroshima Museum of Art's theme of "Love and Peace," and performed the harp with all my heart while also keeping the paintings I had viewed in mind.
I also had the audience listen to the difference in tone between the small Saul harp and the medium-sized Irish harp.
It was also a happy time to meet the smiles of those who played the harp during the harp experience and to be able to talk with them.
The museum harp concert was well-received, and I held a second performance during the exhibition.
I shared the space of paintings and sound with everyone.
I changed some of the songs from the first performance and created a different atmosphere.
“The gentle and soft tone resonated throughout the art hall.”
“We developed a museum harp concert that linked with the atmosphere of the exhibition venue.”
Miyazaki Prefectural Art Museum 30th Anniversary.
The Miyazaki Nichinichi Shimbun 85th Anniversary.
I offer my heartfelt congratulations.
To everyone who helped me leading up to the performance.
Thank you very much.
With gratitude, I will continue to express my beloved harp next year as well.
