To be honest, I'm not that interested in the World Cup.
But isn't the World Cup special 'Tacos al Pastor' flavored potato chip something else entirely?

This is intriguing. I genuinely want to eat it.
With that feeling, I went to the supermarket and found them easily, so I bought them right away.

For someone like me who usually has a 40-peso 'Torta de Milanesa' (Mexican cutlet sandwich) for lunch, 42-peso potato chips are nowa 'snack for the aristocracy.' (About 400 yen. A luxury item for potato chips!)
(About 400 yen. A luxury item for potato chips!)
My expectations were high.
After all, it's Tacos al Pastor flavor.
That is definitely delicious.
And the first bite.
I froze.
Uh... it's kind of sour. And spicy.
This feeling is familiar.
It's like ahardcore versionof 'Suppa Mucho' with an extra punch.

Dream over.
My 'expectations for Tacos al Pastor flavor' quietly exited the stage right here.
To those coming to Mexico to watch the World Cup:
If you're curious and thinking of buying these, I'll say this just in case.
Please be prepared when you eat them.
I won't be buying them again (sorry).
You'll be happier if you just eat proper Tacos al Pastor.

By the way, including these kinds of "hit-or-miss potato chips,"
Mexican snacks are actually quite chaotic (Hey!)
[Update]
In the end, once the World Cup started, these chips almost completely disappeared from store shelves.
I couldn't handle the big bags, but I thought I might try the 15-peso small bags.
I decided to take on Canada and the US too!
Since I was at it, I decided to try and conquer all three countries.
USA

Beef Steak flavor.
It was the safest flavor, kind of like a Consommé Punch style.
It wasn't really something I felt like buying again.
Canada

Bacon Maple flavor.
Surprisingly, this was actually my favorite out of the three countries.
It was a sweet and salty, heavily smoked Consommé Punch flavor.
Even though it's an acquired taste, it might be my favorite of the three I tried.
After that, I repeated the Canadian flavor twice.
