Poem: "A Single Drop of Thought"

I do not overlook even the slightest heart
I am here to know that

The path ahead is a wide, great river
If you let your guard down, you are immediately swept back downstream

The starting point is a safe zone
A windless place where nothing changes

If you soak in it
You repeat the same days
And your unchanging self stands still

Before you know it, your spinning thoughts
Are just a song of the same words
Wandering within a loop

Listen intently
And drop an essence into the gaps of your heart

Within the monotonous, narrow circuits
A different thought, created by yourself, is born

Carefully pick it up
And let it float to the surface

A single drop of thought falling into the heart
Will connect what lies ahead

It is you who changes yourself.

That it is both easy and extremely difficult
Is something I understand all too well.

The thing you must fight
Is not outside, but within,
And you must realize this for yourself.

You and others
Are different in every way except for being human

Appearance and the thoughts that circulate,
The environment in which you grow and the human relationships surrounding it,

Everyone has their own path.

The fact that no two people are the same
Means a labyrinth of temptation,

Where feelings of longing and envy sprout,
Jealousy and base feelings are born,

Greatly shaking a person's heart,
And at the same time, bringing it to a halt.

However, this is the nature of humanity,
A habit of the heart that everyone possesses.

While watching others,
People think of something and point it out,
Applying it to themselves and making comparisons.

Talking is fine, analyzing is fine, lamenting is fine.

So, what will you do after this??

Only the thoughts you have shifted from here on
Will determine today and change tomorrow.

What I hold dear
In a life shared through joys and sorrows,
Is the thought born from "sorrow",
And "joy" is what waits after that.

Thinking this way,
I slip through the traps of being human
And face my own thoughts.
