Poem: "The Day Crossing Summer"
Visiting every year
the long days of summer time
proportional to the speed of time
this summer walks alone
dropping the lingering echoes of the season day by day
The dazzling sunlight
the land of shimmering heat haze
My skin is wrapped in hot wind
leaving the sound of lush greenery in my ears
Into the sky in the midst of seeing midsummer
a full smile appears
and the sudden squall
reflects overflowing tears
People's hearts dance in this season
the temptation to be disturbed by the intense heat
strikes my heart again this year as a short mark of one summer
When I look back
summer slips past me
and as it passes by
the memories of the coming summer
are burned into this body
Sara
How many summers have I experienced, I wonder...
I wrote this poem while thinking that.
Even while thinking it's hot and sluggish...
The days are long in the early morning and evening
a calm time flows
and this space
clears my mind
and settles my feelings.
My workplace is an air-conditioned room
and by the time I finish work and go outside
the twilight and the wind that still holds the heat
are flowing around
but the natural breeze feels pleasant on my skin
and I always feel relieved when I gaze at the bright sky
I spend my days feeling the goodness of summer.
