10 Things I Want to Do This Year
This year, I want to put my thoughts and feelings into words more!
So, I found a perfect topic for the New Year, and I've decided to write about "#10ThingsIWantToDoThisYear".
1. Write a note every three days
In 2025, I want to express more of who I am. To practice putting my thoughts and feelings into words, I will write a note every three days! I'd love to declare that I'll write a note every day, but... let's start with every three days.
I will wake up at 5:00 AM and use the hour until 6:00 AM as my note time to face myself.
2. Complete the website I'm working on
In the summer of 2024, I wanted to give shape to my own service, so I launched a site called "Omoi wo Tsumugu.com" (Spinning Thoughts.com).
I had a vague image in mind, so I went ahead and bought the domain and gradually solidified the service content, but... I welcomed 2025 with the production still at a standstill.
It's easy to put myself last. That's exactly why I will secure time to build my own service, release the website this year, and start recruiting monitors.
3. Go on a workation with my children
This summer, my children's extracurricular schedule seems to have a bit more flexibility, so I'm going to participate in a workation where the kids can join too. I need to start by gathering information.
4. Climb Mount Takao with my children
In 2025, I want to have many experiences connecting with nature with my children.
To start, we'll try climbing a mountain close by, so we're going to Mount Takao! I'll go once it gets a little warmer, Mount Takao.
5. Engage with English every day and become able to speak it to some extent
Years have passed since I first thought, "I want to be able to speak English." This is the year I finally take action. I'll sign up for a free trial of Gakken's Kimini, which I've been curious about, and just get started. I plan to do it with my son.
6. Study psychology
Since I started working as an interview writer, I've realized once again that I love listening to people's stories.
Up until now, I wasn't good at talking about myself or giving speeches in front of people, and there were times I felt down about being a poor speaker. But 2024 was the year I started thinking, "Instead of obsessing over my weaknesses, I want to grow my strengths."
That's why, in 2025, I want to study psychology to polish my "listening" skills. I'm still in the research phase—whether to start with correspondence education or attend a university that working adults can actually attend—but I'm going to start a new learning journey.
7. Get a six-pack
In 2024, I managed to make yoga once a week a habit, so this year I'm going to be a bit more ambitious: yoga plus Pilates once a week.
I want to get a six-pack and enjoy fashion even more.
8. Increase my investments by 1 million yen
I started investing in 2024. I'm enjoying it within reasonable limits.
This year, I'm going to be a bit greedy and try my hand at short-term stock trading. My goal is a profit of 1 million yen!
9. Get a photography job
I love taking pictures of people's smiles!
I want to land at least one job taking photos of people in their natural element at seminars, lectures, or interviews. I will definitely do it.
10. Spend 15 minutes every morning tidying up the house before starting work
To be honest, I'm not good at housework. It always tends to be a low priority.
My daughter starts elementary school this April, so the eight years of dropping her off at daycare will come to an end. That's exactly why I want to use 15 minutes every morning to tidy up the house.
I think tidying up the house will also tidy up my mind. Will 15 minutes of cleaning every morning change my life? It would be interesting to write about the changes on note.
Alright. I've written down 10 things.
I feel like most things come true when you put them into words. I feel like I can put in the effort to make them happen. Now, let's do my best starting today!
