Door, Open! #MaskedNote2 _9

The front door coldly rejected me—
The smart lock I recently installed is a great feature that lets you lock and unlock the door with a single button press as long as your key is in your bag. I pressed the button in front of the door, having finally arrived after walking from the station in the scorching heat, but I didn't hear the usual "whirring" sound of the lock opening.
At that moment, the blood drained from my face. At the same time, the scene from this morning came back to me vividly.
I had asked my husband to lock up, leaving my key case on the living room table, saying, "I'm not using the car today, so I'll leave the keys behind."
This carelessness happened only on a day I was traveling by train. I despaired at my lack of imagination and my own easygoing nature, which hadn't realized I didn't have my keys until the very moment I pressed the door button.
"Wait, what do I do?"
My mind was in a total state of panic. "I can't move the car without the keys. What about picking up the kids? Do I walk there?"
I had already walked for 30 minutes in the scorching heat, and my consciousness was fading. It was the hottest time of day, making it hard to even breathe. Suppressing the urge to pour water over my head, I weakly sprinkled water on the ground under the eaves to cool myself down.
"Please, let him be nearby...!"
I called my husband with a feeling of praying to God. Even if he answered, was there any chance he could come home when he was out on sales calls in a distant area?
"What's wrong?"
"Um... I've done it. I can't get into the house. Please help me..."
Feeling apologetic and embarrassed, I asked for help in a voice as small as a mosquito's hum, and I heard my husband's voice through the receiver, snickering, "Pfft! I'm nearby, so I can be there in about 20 minutes."
I'm saved...!
A while later, my husband arrived to rescue me and opened the front door with a smirk. It's my husband's good quality that he doesn't blame me at all in times like this.
As I felt relieved by the cool air beyond the open door, I remembered a certain saying.
Giving a goodbye kiss reduces the accident rate.
Why don't I repay the favor of the front door incident at the front door?
I quietly approached my husband...
No, no, that hurdle is too high. I sent him off again with the most heartfelt "Take care! Be safe!" of the week.
They say that saying 'Have a safe trip! Take care' reduces the accident rate by 7%. So, in our house, we decided to triple that and reduce the accident rate by 21% by having the three of us, including our daughters, share a hug and say 'Have a safe trip'.
My husband is our family's mascot and personal power spot.
Faced with a door that wouldn't open, I once again truly appreciated how valuable he is.
