How was it?
This lighthearted creative piece written after putting my heart and soul into the Creative Awards. I hope you enjoyed it.
Let me speak for those of you who watched for four days without participating.
"Wait, what have you been doing this whole time? lol"
I don't know either.
I would like to thank everyone who participated during this short period. Thank you for joining the themed project✨
And let me say this.
Isn't everyone amazing?
Honestly, I was blown away.
Every time I read the works being posted one after another, I found myself shouting "Ugh... Whoaaa!!!" in front of my screen.
I intended this to be a little bit of fun, but everyone's work was so incredible that I was terrified by the high level of writing skill and diversity in the town of note. I thought I had come to a safari park, but this was a jungle of entertainers.
I wanted to run away barefoot without posting my own work. It was truly amazing.
Thank you!
Now, I will introduce the gem-like collection of #DenyingTissues entries I received, in order of submission. In addition to the titles you all gave them, I have added a catchphrase describing what happened to the tissue.
🧻 A man like a tissue / Mikumayutan-san
The swaying tissue reminds me of Miku-san's past men. And they were men like those in 'The Restaurant of Many Orders' as well. I kept reading while suspecting, 'Isn't this guy married...?' The way his scumbag nature was displayed with such rhythm made me burst out laughing. While laughing, I also empathized with the line, 'Can I punch him?' I think you should be allowed to punch him.
Miku-san is a winner of the Scumbag Contest, and no one can beat her when it comes to writing about scumbag men. At this point, I want her to write about all the scumbag men from her past.
Only eight hours after the prompt was given. This level of perfection in such a short time. Amazing.
🧻 Writing on a Tissue / Maiton-san
This is a creative piece born from 'Writing on a Tissue.' It is so realistic that it doesn't feel like fiction. The story is complete.
What is going on inside Maiton-san's head? It's too amazing. My own head sent a tissue flying into space, but Maiton-san's worldview was even more infinite.
If I tried writing a love letter on a tissue, a love tissue lol might get blown away. Applause for that phrasing. A Buzzword Award was granted within the comments.
The delusion of 'If you wrote on a tissue...' expands while retaining its sense of truth everywhere. It's a masterpiece.
🧻 A Life Without Tissues / U-san
A worldview that draws you in from the very beginning. It's a novel.
What does it mean to deny? Isn't it good? Isn't this good? Isn't it good, good, good, good, good? And then Ozaken appears.
A family that denies tissues appears. This is not fiction, but non-fiction. In other words, we think about what to use to wipe our butts. They teach us how people wiped their butts going all the way back to ancient times.
Creativity, knowledge, metaphors, and laughter. You can enjoy it all.
🧻 Tissues Personified / Aozora Chikuwa-san
You are drawn in from the first line. A shocking family breakup. An unexpected personification of a tissue. This is truly the Chikuwa style.
A tissue jealous of a stylish tissue. A tissue that acts tough without fearing being pulled out. A tissue encouraged by a tissue. A tissue being eaten. A tissue mounting others.
I never dreamed there would be so much story behind the fate of a tissue. The power of imagination to imbue even a tissue with a soul is amazing. This could easily be turned into a picture book.
🧻 A World with a Tissue Prohibition Law / Rintaro Takechi
I, Honda, appear in a mystery novel. The key to the case is, of course, a tissue.
Someone dies, and we search for the culprit. However, the culprit to be found is not 'who caused his death?' but 'who is the cause of global warming?'The UN and COP ban tissues. What measures does Japan, lagging behind, take?
Wait? This is a story about tissues, right?
It is definitely a story about tissues.
It even starts exploring ideas like whether tissues, which could be a cause of global warming, could be used as aviation fuel. It broadens one's knowledge.
🧻 Can Tissues Be Denied... / persi
Alright, let's try living a life without using tissues. I imagined that, but persi-sanhas hay fever. That's painful. If you take tissues away from someone with hay fever, they must be in quite a lot of trouble.
Can tissues be denied? What is the conclusion persi-san reached?
It makes you chuckle and discover a new perspective.
🧻 Who Are Tissues Folded For / Aoi Soryu
Aoi Soryu works at a day center. The elderly woman who uses it takes tissues out of the box and folds them every time she comes. Why does the grandmother fold the tissues?
A grandmother who realistically denies the tissue (box) appears.Have we ever thought about the shape of the tissue box we use casually every day? Is it really easy for everyone to use?
It is a non-fiction work that makes you think.
🧻 Are Tissues Dirty? / Suzume no Oyako-san
Suzume no Oyako-san, who just had a baby.
They keep tissues near the baby so they can be reached quickly. However, someone else uses them.
To my surprise, a situation occurred where even the tissues inside the box were no longer considered clean.
If even a single finger touches the box, is the entire contents of the tissue box considered used? The disgust toward a father in his adolescence, once again.
It's a non-fiction piece that makes you think, "I get that."
🧻 It Has to Be Tissues / Jise-oji GAMI-san
This focuses on how much of an environmental burden tissues place on the world, and how much Japanese people use them.
I see, perhaps we need to rethink how we use tissues from the perspective of the SDGs as well.
According to GAMI-san, tissues might be replaceable in daily life. However, there are situations where only tissues will do. Tissues are indispensable for beauty. I see, perhaps it really does have to be tissues.
🧻 Reusing Tissues / Sunou Honda
Um... everyone's work is so wonderful that it's become hard to put mine out there. I was sure it would be interesting at first, but every time I read everyone else's work, I thought, "Shouldn't I rewrite this?" over and over again. I'm sorry. This is all I could write!! Sei!
I was wondering if people would say, "Aren't you not denying tissues?"
"It became content that denies that a popped-out tissue is a beautiful tissue as it was originally." Well, that's fine. Creative work is free, after all.
I had a new discovery in the comments section.

I see.
The "who" part is bigger than the "where" part!!!
This gave me a new perspective.
It also shares common ground with Suzume no Oyako-san's article.
It seems research on tissues can still continue.
#DenyingTissues
I will briefly summarize the results of trying to deny tissues.
First, those that deny the "existence of tissues."
They explore whether other things can be used as substitutes, look at history, and rethink the role of tissues from the perspective of global warming and environmental destruction.
Next, those that capture "aversion toward tissues."
You can see the results of when tissues are judged to be dirty, and how their perceived beauty or ugliness varies depending on the place and the person.
And finally, those that "perceived tissues as something other than tissues."
They deny tissues while enjoying them as creative works, seeing them as humans, paper, or other things.
Here is a summary of everyone's opinions in a nutshell.
・Tissues cannot be denied
・If you are going to deny tissues, learn the ancient history of wiping with leaves
・There are people who are like tissues
・Tissues can be anthropomorphized
・The world changes when you try to write on a tissue
・Are tissues a cause of global warming?
・Is the tissue box design truly easy for everyone to use?
・Do tissues stop being clean the moment they are opened?
・Once a tissue is pulled out, it cannot return to being unused
・Whether a tissue is clean or not depends on "who" used it
These were the results of the research (creative work).
Was there anything close to your own thoughts?
I am very happy that so many people participated in just four days.
You know how athletes, or students after a school festival, spray beer or splash water on each other at an after-party?
I would be honored if you could think of this as an after-party for the Creative Awards—something a bit nonsensical and funny that I can't quite explain. It's an after-party where we throw tissues at each other.
If it was fun, let's do it again.
Thank you for joining me.
Creation never ends. As long as you continue.
