Space Food is Takoyaki
Entry for the Weekly Short-Short Note
Foreword
This is a slightly whimsical and passionate story that unfolded during a presentation on which the company's fate depended.
What is the surprising secret plan of an employee who takes on the challenge with the dream of making Osaka's famous takoyaki into space food?
Neo Osaka Foods decided to market their self-developed takoyaki as space food.
They were headed to the presentation venue of the global food company, Cosmo Foods Global.
The waiting room was filled with renowned major food companies, and the atmosphere was heavy.
There was no chance of winning in a fair fight—but Udagawa from the development department had a secret plan.
The employees entered the venue with tense expressions, but they returned with smiles after finishing their presentations.
It seemed they felt confident.
Udagawa also had to deliver results in this presentation that would determine the company's future.
For the sake of his unborn child as well.
The presentation began.
Udagawa passionately spoke about the process of turning Osaka's famous takoyaki into space food.
He watched the audience's expressions and timed his move.
And then—music began to play in the venue.
"Takopa Gymnastics!"
Udagawa began to dance rhythmically.
In fact, he was a former dance instructor.
The judges, who were initially bewildered, gradually began to move their limbs, and their stern faces turned into smiles.
The room became united, and they proceeded directly to the takoyaki tasting.
The venue was filled with cheers at the savory aroma and the fluffy, creamy texture.
One month later, the email that arrived from Cosmo Foods Global stated the following:
—"Takopa Gymnastics" adopted.

Afterword
Selling something straight on isn't the only way to win.
If you have passion, ingenuity, and the power to make people smile, doors might open in ways you never expected.
