Melting into Blue Rain: A Single Drop of Poetry
Your slender fingertips touch my back.
Each time you trace it delicately, my back
becomes damp with rain.
Your sadness is contagious to me.
My sadness and your sadness weave together,
overlapping and melting away.
Each time our bodies overlap, we melt into the water.
Today, in the blue rain, let us hold hands
and get soaked in these tears of sadness.
Thank you for reading. This work is a participation in the Shirokuma Literature Club project.
I depicted the way emotions are conveyed
with deep feeling.
Sadness, rain, water.
And the "blue" that wraps around them
is the quiet theme of this work.
When our hearts overlap with someone else's, perhaps we are quietly getting soaked in the same rain.
