Lucky Kilimanjaro: From a Turning Point to the Next Stage
I am an uncle of one of the members of Lucky Kilimanjaro, also known as "Lakkiri." You might call me biased, but I still want to say it: "Isn't Lakkiri amazing lately?"
Their solo concert held at Makuhari Messe this past February. The live recording has already been released, giving us even more opportunities to experience their live performance. Just listening to the audio brings the excitement of that day vividly back to life.
Their momentum is also going strong at music festivals. At events like VIVA LA ROCK at Saitama Super Arena and METROCK held at Uminomori in Koto Ward, they have put together flawless setlists that allow the audience to dance and jump with all their hearts. I feel that their level of perfection has reached the point of being "complete."
Of course, Lakkiri is still a "band on the rise." However, every major artist has a period known as a turning point. Isn't Lucky Kilimanjaro standing right at that crossroads now?
I don't know what form they will be active in 10 years from now. But I am convinced that a future will come where people who saw their live shows today will say, "Lakkiri back then was legendary."
