Stopping by Yonago Airport

OSC2023 Shimane On my way back from the event, I stopped by Yonago Airport.
It's fun to peek into an airport (especially one I've never been to) even when I'm not catching a flight.

It is a small but clean terminal.

It is intensely focused on yokai and Conan (lol).

A fun cafe and souvenir area.

Being able to feel the local vibe through signs and advertisements is the charm of visiting a place. Sakaiminato City is apparently the "town of fish and Kitaro." I like that they are promoting fish as well, rather than just relying on Kitaro.

When you are conditioned by signs like this, it makes you think you might want to check out the "Oburoshiki" next time you come, so I guess I'm an easy target (lol).

I love observation decks, but I took this photo at 6:45. Since my schedule ahead was packed, I decided it would be difficult to wait 15 minutes here,

so I pressed my forehead against the glass to get the feeling of being out on the deck (metaphorically speaking; I didn't actually press my forehead against the window).
Looking closely, there is a banner or wall covering that seems to block the view beyond the fence, but I wonder if you can actually see the runway from here. Does the screen lower only when commercial planes are taking off or landing so you can see the runway??? (It's not a shared-use airport, is it...)

I am basically on the 'Red Team' (I mainly use JAL), so I rarely have the opportunity to come to Yonago Airport, and this was a good experience. Next time, I would like to come when I have a bit more time and when the airport is in full operation.
