I Can't Forget That Teacher
Recently, I've been hooked on
searching for topics using hashtags.
That's where I found the
#unforgettable teacher
tag.
Do you all have an
"unforgettable teacher"?
When looking back on your school days,
"Come to think of it,
there was a teacher with a really quirky personality"
"That teacher was so scary"
I'm sure some of you can think of someone like that.
This time, I'll write about such an
"unforgettable teacher".
1. The Slacker Alien

Even when we say unforgettable teacher, there are many different types, aren't there?
・Kind
・Scary
・Quirky
・Interesting to talk to
and so on...
This Teacher A,
"Ugh, what a drag"
was their catchphrase.
While saying "what a drag," they would shake their leg incessantly and teach the class while sitting in a chair.
On top of that, they were scary, so I think they would normally be a teacher people would hate, but for some reason, I quite liked them.
Also, quite frequently, they would spend the entire class period just chatting with us.
And this was actually interesting.
At the time, there were no other teachers who would kill an hour with small talk, so I was happy about it.
As someone who didn't want to have class, I was incredibly happy, but for the serious students, they might have hated it, haha.
From Teacher A, I learned how to put students at ease by interjecting with small talk. I suspect Teacher A wasn't actually thinking about that and just didn't want to teach... haha.
Also, I blame Teacher A for my math grades stalling!
(2) The Womanizer Who Helped Me

The junior high school I attended was quite rough, with bullying and school vandalism occurring frequently.
It was a rather difficult school life to endure, but when I consulted my homeroom teacher, Teacher B, he took active steps to help.
He seemed to realize that the situation was more serious than the teachers had grasped.
The atmosphere didn't change immediately, but he persistently reasoned with the students involved and managed to curb the chaos.
How cool, I thought.
Listening to students' opinions and taking action so that everyone can spend their time comfortably.
It was the first time I felt that being a teacher was amazing.
This event was what triggered me to start thinking, "Maybe being a teacher isn't so bad."
I hadn't been in touch with Teacher B at all after graduation, but one day I found him on Facebook.
When I looked at his posts with a very happy feeling, I saw he was only interacting with my female classmates.
I also tried sending a follow request.
……It was rejected.(F***)
3. A pervert who loves mathematical formulas above all else

Mr. C was my homeroom teacher right after I entered high school.
He was someone who absolutely loved mathematics.
Even during class, he would suddenly stop to talk about math, or stare at mathematical formulas with a grin on his face.
I thought he was a pretty dangerous teacher, but one day, another teacher told me about what happened during a teacher training session.
Teacher training seems to be something where you stay at a lodging facility and have various interactions with other teachers.
Although it was called training, it was meant to be a pleasant time spent in a harmonious atmosphere.
At such a teacher training session, there was one teacher who wouldn't come to socialize.
Of course, it was Mr. C.
It seems Mr. C spent the whole night in his room thinking about mathematical formulas without talking to anyone.
As a high school student, I thought, "What a dangerous guy."
But, strangely enough, I liked Mr. C.
Being so obsessed with what you love that you go beyond "dangerous" and become "cool", isn't it?
Thanks to this pervert, I grew to love mathematics.
──There were many other teachers, but I'll end it here since it would get too long lol
In summary
◎ There were unforgettable teachers who were all unique individuals
◎ The experiences I learned from unforgettable teachers were
put to good use in what I valued
during my own teaching career
◎ The influence received from teachers is
significant, for better or worse
That is all.
I previously asked about "good teachers," but
are there any other terrible teachers or
teachers with quirks, in other words,
"unforgettable teachers"?
