An Unexpected Encounter

Nice to meet you! I'm Sara.

I'm 47 years old, married to a farmer, and I was born in the Year of the Horse.

It's been 10 years since I got pregnant and our sex life ended. Chasing after work and raising children, I eventually forgot what it was like to be a woman, and my days were just spent getting through the tasks right in front of me.

I figured I'd just keep getting older without ever having sex again.

I assumed that was just how things were supposed to be.

I wasn't particularly high-libido, so I thought,
that's just how it is.

That was until that one turning point...

The turning point that changed my life completely...

It all started with a casual conversation when I went out for drinks with some mom friends one night.

As the drinks flowed, we started talking about our sex lives, and when I brought up,
"It's been 10 years since we stopped, it's finally hit double digits,"
my mom friends were like,
"No way?! Not even once?"
"You must have had a few times in between, right?"
They were totally shocked lol. Since I was completely sexless, I gave a bitter smile and replied,

"No, none! Absolutely none,"
like, there's no way that happened, and they said,
"Seriously?! Are you okay?"

They were actually worried about me lol.

At my mom friends' unexpected reaction,
"Is it really that bad? Maybe... has it been too long?"
I finally realized the gravity of the situation.

Then one friend, A-ko, said,
"Should I introduce you to someone?"
Another unexpected statement!

"Wait, really?! Is there someone like that?"
"There is, but he's a weird guy lol."
"A weird guy? What do you mean? lol"

I laughed, but
having never had an extramarital affair, I had no idea what to do, and my head was just
going 'Huh?! What?!'
Then A-ko asked,

"Sara, do you want to have sex?"
I was asked, and

it was a word I hadn't thought about or even remembered while being chased by my daily routine.
But my answer was,
"I've probably forgotten how, but I want to,"
and I was surprised myself that those words just came out instinctively, but I didn't hate it.

Hearing that answer, A-ko was already calling the person on the phone!!

"Wait!"
I thought, but at the same time, I felt a sense of excitement and nervousness that I hadn't felt in over a decade.
And then,
"Here, take it,"
she said, handing me the phone...
