Happy Writing Marathon #44 | Is there anything you felt you did well recently?

Once again, I am participating in Ken Honda's Happy Writing Marathon.

Something I felt I did well recently?
That would be making a character bento for the first time 🤭

Recently, my daughter hasn't wanted to go to after-school care,
and there were days when she seemed a bit down in the morning.

"I hope that when she sees her lunch, she feels at least a little excited."

Thinking that, I decided to try making a character bento.

I woke up a little earlier that day,
and packed some "fun" into her lunch box.

When my daughter saw the lunch, her face lit up,
and she smiled, saying, "It's cute!" 😊💕

Seeing that smile,
I felt from the bottom of my heart that I was glad I did it.

At that moment, I suddenly remembered something my daughter had said before.

"When I'm with Mom, lots of good things happen.
They don't happen when I'm alone."

I was very surprised, but
it was a happy thing to hear.

To my daughter who said that,

after thinking for a moment,
I secretly taught her a bit of magic.

"It's to always think 'Yay' or 'Lucky'."

"Even when it's not lucky,
if you say 'lucky,'
truly lucky things will happen."

My daughter said "Hmm,"
but she still looked a bit skeptical.

Even if it's not something big,
finding "happiness" in everyday life,
and receiving excitement.

Just by doing that, the world becomes a little more fun.

On the morning I made the character bento,
what I was able to do
wasn't just making a lunch,

I hope I have been able to gently pass on
a 'trigger to find happiness'.

This is a record of a precious morning
when I felt that way.

Even if it is a small trigger,
I hope that a world of excitement
will spread out beyond it.🌈
