Valuables in my four-dimensional pocket
I haven't used a waist pouch or waist bag since I was in elementary or junior high school.
For my 5-day, 4-night trip traveling alone with my two children, I bought a new waist bag.

It was actually called a body bag, not a waist bag.
It seems people also wear them across their chests.
This bag, which I bought for just over 1,000 yen, was incredibly useful during the trip.

A mini wallet containing only cash and credit cards, my iPhone 13 mini, airline tickets, train tickets, and some candies.
Having this around my waist meant I could quickly take out what I needed without rummaging through my huge backpack.
'The train ticket I was holding for my eldest son!'
Ta-da-da-da-da, da-da-da!
I felt exactly like Doraemon.
I used to keep my wallet in the zipper pocket of my backpack, but with this four-dimensional pocket style, I don't have to swing my backpack around to the front every time. Not fumbling when shopping is stress-free for both me and the people around me.

It was handy to keep things like airline tickets I needed to scan in 30 minutes or hotel room keys in this back pocket, as they wouldn't get mixed up with other items and were easy to retrieve.
Same with train tickets. Pockets are fine, but both my kids and I often drop things out of our pockets, so I only like to keep tissues in them.

There are three storage compartments in total: the mesh pocket on the back, the main compartment, and a mini mesh pocket inside that.
Too many compartments make it a hassle to organize, and putting everything in one place makes it cluttered, so this amount is just right.
I kept my mobile battery and candies in the mini pocket.

There was a 30cm wide version, but I bought the mini size because I thought anything too big would be in the way.
I think anything larger wouldn't have fit my frame, so it was a great choice.
Plus, the outer fabric is water-repellent. The main zipper is a water-resistant zipper.
In other words, it's fine even if I play in the water a little!
When I accompanied my second son to the hotel pool, I only went in up to my legs, but I was able to keep my valuables on me with peace of mind.
The lockers didn't have keys, so I was really glad I had a waterproof bag.
It has a tropical pattern, so it seems like it would be good for summer beach trips too.
Someday, I want to wear this around my waist and drink a tropical juice by a pool overseas.
I really wish it were a true four-dimensional pocket. I'd use an Anywhere Door to go on vacation right now.
While I let those dreams grow, I plan to have it accompany me when I run around the park for the time being.

I read an article by someone who participated in this project and thought, 'I want to write one too!', so I joined in with the #MyBag tag.
