[March 17th][Cat Story] A story about a firm determination to be petted no matter what

Is your cat sleeping?
This is Shusho.

This is sudden, but please take a look at this.

This happens often while I'm writing a note,
"Look at me. And pet me."is what my bossy cat, Takkun, says.
I'm busy right now, so I've decided to ignore him.

He won't give up even if I leave him alone.
"Huh? Is there an option where you don't pet me? Seriously?"He glares at me with eyes that say that, but
I'm writing a note, so I've decided to ignore him.
I have to make him understand that I'm not just someone who says yes to everything the cat says.

He's finally starting to complain.

I feel like he's saying, "You always say you're a servant to cats, so what do you mean you're not going to pet me?"

I feel his firm determination, his stance of never giving up until he gets petted.

I'm a wimp, so I give up easily, but
I don't know who Takkun takes after, but once he thinks "I want to be petted now,"
he will do anything to achieve his goal.
He's a scary child.
He's even reaching out his hand to interfere with my work.

He kicked the wall and came out in front.
He's right on the edge of the table.
Thinking his head might fall off, my hand moved instinctively.

It's Takkun's tactical victory.
He grabbed my hand just like that and forced me to pet him.

Takkun has a disability in his left leg, so there are places like behind his ears and his throat
that he has to scratch with his hind legs.
I petted those spots intensively for him.

That's right.
It's a defeat again today.

Well, it's not like I've ever won, though.

He seems to be very satisfied.

Even when I think, "The cats are sleeping, now's my chance," and try to write an article for my note,
I end up getting shot down by his "Look at me" attacks like this.

I always tell him things like, "If you're sleepy, go sleep by yourself," but
I'm always ignored.

There is a last resort of putting him to sleep in the futon, but that also takes a heavy toll on humans, and it's a trap where you end up falling asleep with him, so it's a strategy I'd rather avoid if possible.

I was defeated again today, but I'm well aware that my face is grinning even though I lost.
