My Obsession: The Jetstream I've Been Buying for 15 Years
There is a pen I have been using for about 15 years.
It is the Mitsubishi Pencil Jetstream 3-color pen.
Whether at work or in my private life, I find it is always in my hand. I especially love the ultra-fine 0.38mm refill type.
It works well with almost any kind of paper, and it has a smooth writing feel without any snagging.
Also, I feel like it slightly mitigates the messiness of my handwriting, which I always end up scribbling in a rush.
I occasionally cheat and try other pens, but I always end up coming back to this one.
It has a sense of trust and security that I have built up over many years, which other pens just don't have.
I love it so much that when I forget to buy spare refills and the ink runs out, it feels like there is a gaping hole in my heart.
I realize myself that this is a bit of a dangerous tendency.
The pen body comes in various colors, and when I was in my 20s, I used to use light pink and such.
That was cute in its own way, but even then, I eventually returned to the orthodox 'clear with a black grip'.

Maybe it is because it doesn't clash with the colors of my notebooks.
However, the notebooks and planners I use now are in somewhat mature, 'old gentleman' colors, so looking at them calmly, I feel like it might be fun to bring in light pink or light blue as an accent color.

Even though I say I prefer the orthodox style, maybe it is time for some color after all. Just thinking about that makes me a little excited.
Also, I have a recommended customization method, though it sounds a bit like Starbucks.
For any pen, the default refills are red, blue, and black, but I like to swap the blue one for a green refill.
Since red, blue, and black are all strong colors, adding green softens the text a little. I like that feeling.
Writing this down, I realize that 'color harmony' is important to me.
Writing about the reasons for my obsession, strangely enough, makes me feel like my love for it deepens.
When I tried to put into words 'why do I like this so much?', I realized that my own identity was properly hidden within that 'like'.
Kaze no Boushi-san, thank you for the wonderful prompt ^^
(Please excuse this last-minute note)
