AWS User Group Study Session Information August 25th Edition 8/26-9/29 (5 weeks)

This is the AWS User Group study session information for August 25th, skipping one week. This covers publicly available information up to 5 weeks ahead, until September 29th. In addition to study session information for the end of August, many study sessions for September have also been announced. This year, we have events like the Cloud Pilgrimage held in Kochi and the start of activities for the new JAWS-UG Toyama chapter!

The 24-hour online event JAWS PANKRATION 2024 was held starting at noon on Saturday, August 24th (JST). (https://jawspankration2024.jaws-ug.jp/ja/) Since the pandemic, JAWS-UG online events have built their own streaming systems using Amazon IVS and AWS Amplify, but this time we deployed a streaming system with a simultaneous interpretation text box that allows users to choose from 25 languages to view in real-time. We also took on the challenge of creating summaries using Claude 3.5 while storing session content as text information.

We adopted a responsive design that allows for viewing on smartphones, as well as PC/Mac browsers.

Here are a few slides from the closing. Many users and AWS employees participated in JAWS PANKRATION in various roles!

70 speakers participated from 32 countries and regions.

JAWS FESTA 2024 in Hiroshima

This is the JAWS autumn festival, JAWS FESTA 2024 in Hiroshima, which will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at the Hiroshima University Higashi-Hiroshima Campus! The Saijo Sake Festival will be held in Saijo around the same time, and there is even an option to tour the sake breweries after the FESTA ends! Saijo is a sake-producing area in Hiroshima that boasts 10 sake breweries, including Kamoizumi, Kamotsuru, Kirei, and Saijo Tsuru.
