The reason for starting this note while raising a 0-year-old boy
Nice to meet you.
I am Ryu-mama, a full-time housewife living in Kansai,
currently raising a 0-year-old boy.
First,
I will talk about the primaryreason and purposefor posting this note.
Right after giving birth, I experiencedmy baby refusing to breastfeed. For four whole months,
I spent every day crying while nursing,
and what should have been a happy breastfeeding experience
became something very painful for me
before I knew it.
And I also learned that many other people have had similar experiences.
I believe there are many moms out there currently
struggling with breastfeeding with no end in sight.
To those moms,
the number one thing I want to convey through this note is
please don't try too hard on your own.
“A mom being happy and smiling
is the greatest happiness for a baby.”
This is what my husband and the midwife during my postpartum care
told me when I was struggling with breastfeeding.
The answer I arrived at after my child refused to breastfeed for four months,
going through trial and error with my child,
and worrying endlessly,is what I would like to share here
with moms who are currently having a hard time with breastfeeding
and expectant mothers who are thinking about breastfeeding.
In the next note,
I would like to talk about the beginning of the breastfeeding refusal.
