The Cursed Ichimatsu Doll
"It's an Ichimatsu doll that was my grandmother's keepsake, but its hair grows night after night."
When you work as an exorcist in Japan, you frequently come across cursed dolls whose hair grows. However, I only learned after attending a meeting of the World Exorcist Association that this is a uniquely Japanese phenomenon and is rarely seen elsewhere in the world. There might be a reason for this. Using a contact, I sought the cooperation of a research team at Miskatonic University and succeeded in analyzing the mechanism behind the hair growth of old Japanese dolls. It was not a curse; it was caused by a chemical substance that is rarely generated when the paint used on the dolls oxidizes due to aging. The reason it stops after an exorcism is due to a reaction with the salt used in the ritual.
Based on these research results, we conducted further studies and succeeded in developing a groundbreaking AGA treatment called 'ICHIMATSU.' After transferring some of the rights to the drug to an American pharmaceutical company and acquiring a vast fortune, I bought a house on the outskirts of Kamakura and am living quietly. I believe it was a stroke of luck that I, a mere exorcist, was able to be involved in the development of a treatment that has saved so many people suffering from hair loss. I am deeply grateful to everyone at Miskatonic University who conducted research with a nobody like me, and to everyone in the pharmaceutical division of the Umbrella Corporation who invested in the research and purchased the rights while ensuring that I received a sufficient share of the profits.
