[Writing for note] A simple way to focus on "writing" by leaving editing to AI
It's simple but powerful. A straightforward way to write on note with the help of AI
Writing is fun.
Because it's fun, I've been writing on note consistently for almost two years now.
Writing is fun, but there are various small tasks like typos, titles, and headings, and when you write every day, those things become quietly tedious.
I want to write comfortably.
I want to focus only on writing.
That's why I ask AI to handle the small tasks.
Last time, I tried having AI write for me by teaching it my writing habits.
However, that felt a bit off.
Writing is fun, so what's the point of having AI do the most interesting part?
So, I decided to first write out the content I want to cover, and then ask AI to write the titles and headings, and to check for typos and provide advice.
Titles, main headings, and typos. The best trick for having AI handle editing and proofreading
Here is the actual method.
1. First, I send this instruction to Gemini, the AI.
Create main headings from the following content. Also, optimize for SEO. Think of 5 title candidates.
Then, Gemini responds like this.
I have omitted the detailed wording.

2. Copy and paste the main headings directly onto note.
Choose your favorite title from the five options and copy and paste it.
I have reverted the bold text (it's a mystery why Gemini keeps making it bold no matter how many times I tell it not to...)
3. Just keep writing along the headings from step 2!
4. Finally, send the following instructions to Gemini.
Please answer my questions from the perspective of a professional writer. Grade and evaluate my work. Point out any typos or omissions.
Gemini is kind-hearted, so its grading tends to be lenient.
However, if you ask it to "evaluate more strictly," it immediately switches to a harsh mode.
Sometimes its advice includes points that make me go, "Aha!" It helps me see my work from an objective perspective.
It's convenient for a "lonely noter" like me.
Also, it might be interesting to replace the "professional writer" part of the prompt with your favorite author or literary master.
5. In my case, I include related articles at the end of my posts, so I also send the following instructions. This is usually unnecessary, though.
Select 5 articles from ryosukewexer that are best for SEO optimization from the text below. Also, include a description of about 100 characters to encourage readers to read the articles.
As a preparation,
go to note's "Dashboard" -> "Access Status" -> "Year"
-> "See more"
and select all articles with over 1,000 views to copy and paste into Gemini.
Then, it will suggest the articles it deems most optimal along with explanations.
Humans handle the creativity. A simple logic that makes AI the behind-the-scenes support.
The good thing about this flow is that it makes it easier for the writer to write the "first line."
This is because you only need to throw what you want to write in your head at the AI.
Write down everything you think, notice, or feel in your head without worrying about the order.
Then, leave the headings and title to the AI.
As the human, you don't need to organize what you want to write at all, and you don't need to think about things like "how to rank high in search results"; you just keep writing according to the paragraphs.
You might think, "So I'm just doing what the AI says?" but that's not it; you should still read the titles and headings beforehand. There are many times when the wording is strange or it's "not quite right."
Also, you don't have to write exactly according to the AI's headings; you are free to arrange them as you like, such as deleting unnecessary headings, changing the order, or modifying the wording.
The top priority is simply to use the headings and titles created by the AI to finish writing easily and smoothly to the end.
Eliminate wasted time on revisions. A simple habit to focus on writing.
Previously, I would reread my work at least three times to check for typos and omissions each time.
But now, I leave that almost entirely to the AI. I just give it a quick read before posting.
From my experience using multiple AIs, Gemini is good at summarizing headings and titles, but it tends to miss typos and omissions. In that regard, Perplexity feels like it does a more thorough job of proofreading.
Proofreading over and over again is boring. So, I just accept it and post after one read.
Achieving efficiency on note. How to make AI your best partner.
First, use the AI instructions above to write out the data in your head as you please.
Leave headings, titles, and proofreading to the AI.
This style feels like having a capable assistant by your side, and you can even enjoy a bit of a "pretend author" feeling.
Plus, it's easy. And we live in a wonderful era where you can receive these services for free.
This time, for those who...
Have a mountain of things they want to write but can't seem to write the first line.
Or for those who have started writing but get lost along the way.
I would like you to try this method once.
It's zero risk, after all.
Actually, I also had a period for many years where I couldn't write the first line.
Details are in this article.
If the me from back then had known this method, I probably would have been able to write on note much earlier.
There have also been changes in access status using AI.
This time, I want to write on note.
But I just can't seem to write the first line.
I have summarized a way to write on note using AI for people like that.
As mentioned before, I am also instructing AI on SEO measures.
So, the question is, are the view counts growing?
I think they are growing.
Here is a screenshot from this month.

By riding the trend, the article on Workman's recovery wear, Mediheal, grew rapidly. The top article by view count above was written on September 4th. It continues to be read even after a month, and it is currently the top article by view count.
As I write this right now, looking at the annual access status,
"Is Workman's recovery wear effective? I tried the Mediheal mattress pad for one night - Total views 10,346"
"Is Workman's recovery wear sold out? Is trying the Mediheal mattress pad the best solution? - Views 2,529"
It is still growing.
Riding the trend at the timing of a new product
plus
I think the help of AI is also having an effect.

To focus on writing, let's simply acquire the ultimate offline environment. I will introduce the optimal choice: a used electronic dictionary that you can buy for 1/10th the price of a new Pomera.
I usually use this when I'm out and about.
Even though it's an electronic dictionary, it comes with a standard text memo feature.
It's a bit quirky, but once you get used to it, you can type text smoothly.
Plus, you can search across over 100 content sources at once. No ads! High-purity information! The data is old, but it's no problem as long as it's not current affairs terminology!
If you aim for a used one, it's quite cheap, making it perfect as a pre-Pomera device.
In addition, the following models allow you to start typing immediately after purchase.
Note: The Brain's text memo function is already built into the PW-A9300/A9200/A9100/A9000/A7400/A7300/A7200/A7000/AC920/AC910/AC900 models.

However, what I've been curious about lately is the color version of the Kindle.
It dropped to 29,800 yen in the recent sale, didn't it? I'm so tempted.
