CBC Radio Summer Festival 2024

Hello, this is Achi-Con. I attended both days of the CBC Radio Summer Festival 2024, held on July 27th and 28th at the Edion Hisaya Square in Naka Ward, Nagoya. Since it was my second consecutive year attending, I was able to enjoy it even more than last year.

Day 1

Starting with the first day. I really wanted to enjoy as much time as possible, so I took an early morning Shinkansen, made a detour, and arrived at the venue at 10:00 AM.

Shinkansen on the way there

Detour 1

Since I came to Nagoya, I absolutely had to go to Urbanqua. So, I stopped by there first to get refreshed with a bath and sauna, which helped me shake off the fatigue from work the day before and prepare for the first day.

Arriving at the venue

Now for the main topic. When I arrived at the venue at 10:00 AM, several listeners had already arrived, so I joined up with them and spent the rest of the day together.

Jiji-Nene

The highlight of the summer festival is, of course, the stage events. I only had two tickets this year, but one of them was for 'Isao Otsu and Ayane Suzuki's I Want to Become an Expert.' It was a short 20-minute stage, but the content was very substantial, making it a really fun performance.

Received from Jii-ya
Thank you as always!

Oshimashi

The stage I was looking forward to the most was, of course, the Oshimashi stage. In addition to Naoto Sakai, who appears every week, TEAM SHACHI including Haru-chan, and Radio Joshi, members of SKE48 also appeared. It felt more like a full-blown concert than just a stage event, and it was such an intense performance that I found myself calling out and cheering along.

I was cut off from the frame for the second year in a row

Mr. Sakai

I was able to meet Mr. Sakai again this year and have a nice, relaxed conversation with him. I also bought a program notebook and received an autographed sticker.

Thank you for your hard work over the two days!

Radio Joshi

The thing I was looking forward to most over these two days was the Radio Joshi special event. On the first day, I participated in the special events for five members: Senatan, Akari-chan, Fuuna, Hinata, and Rinrin.

It was their first summer festival while also working as Repo-Casters, and they did a fantastic job!
I'm so happy you called me Sochi-con!
You were incredibly cute!
I want to know the truth about Yamazaki Prefecture.
It had been a little while, hadn't it? It was so much fun!

Drinking

After staying at the venue until 9:00 PM, I went out for drinks with many listeners. The first place was Sekai no Yamachan, and although it was for a short time, it was very lively.

Thank you for your hard work on the first day!

Hotel drinking

The first day wasn't over yet. Since six other listeners were staying at the same hotel, we held a hotel drinking party just like the night before the weeding in June. We were having so much fun that before I knew it, we had been drinking until 3:00 AM.

I think this will be the first and last time I drink until this late.

Second day

The first day was very intense, but the second day was just as intense. I think these two days were the most fulfilling two days of the year.

Breakfast

Detour ②

This day also started with a detour. The destination was a freshly squeezed orange juice vending machine in Sakae Chika, and I went with a few people from the hotel group. It was a very rich juice that I couldn't believe cost only 350 yen, and it was delicious.

It was surprisingly rich.

Radio Joshi

Of course, the thing I was looking forward to most on this day was also the Radio Joshi special event. On the second day, I participated in the special events for Senatan and Akari-chan.

Thank you so much for your hard work over these two days, balancing your duties with the report cast!
Thanks for the second day too! It was so much fun!

After that, I had another freshly squeezed orange juice and headed home in the early afternoon. It was a very fulfilling two days.

Finally

These two days were truly the best event ever! To all the personalities and listeners I met at the venue, thank you so much! I will continue to love CBC Radio, so please keep supporting us!

See you again.
