[About the Performance]
My name is Kenshiro Niguruma, and I am an actor based in Kyoto and Tokyo.
I will be performing a solo show in Ueda City, Nagano Prefecture.
The theme is "sports."
I was in the "brass band" in junior high school and the "drama club" in high school, so I was very much a member of the cultural clubs.
For some reason, I have always had a longing for "sports."
At that time, a senior in high school taught me a certain quote by Yukio Mishima.
"The taste of a shower after exercise contains the most necessary thing in life. No matter what power one holds, no matter how much debauchery one repeats, those who do not know the taste of this shower cannot be said to truly know the joy of human living."
No matter how you look at it, that's a bit of an exaggeration, but
"What is the taste of a shower after sports?"
As I lived my life thinking about that vaguely, several works related to sports naturally accumulated, so I will release them on this occasion.
I had Taiki Kuno from REFUGIA, whose four-person play about bowling, "BORING ALONE," I watched last year and found very interesting, write a new version for a solo performance.
I plan to perform a total of about 60 minutes, consisting of 3 to 4 pieces.
What lies beyond the finish line? What remains? What does it taste like?
