My thoughts on how I write my notes
~I don't know if there's any demand for this~
I had a thought recently.
Among those who read my notes,
I wonder if anyone has ever thought, 'How does this guy write his articles?'
...No, probably not.
What everyone is curious about is not my writing technique,
but rather what my wife will say to me next.
In fact, looking at the comments section,
I feel like there are more fans of my wife than fans of me.
I don't get it.
However, just in case,
there might be someone who has thought, 'What is Ranmuscle thinking when he writes?'
The probability might be about as low as winning a big lottery prize, but since I'm at it, today I'll write about what I'm conscious of when I write my notes.
I'm not a writing professional.
I'm not an author.
I'm just a salaryman.
What is a person like that thinking as he taps away every day?
I don't know if there's demand.
But I write.
That is who I am.
Tempo is life
First, the thing I'm most conscious of is tempo.
I care about tempo even when I'm reading books.
No matter how good the content is,
if it's hard to read,
if it doesn't flow,
if it feels suffocating,
I can't read it.
So when I write,
I keep sentences short.
I use lots of line breaks.
I try to make it read with rhythm as much as possible.
That's what I'm conscious of.
Looking at my old articles,
there are few line breaks.
Looking at them now, they feel suffocating.
It's like a hill sprint.
I get out of breath just reading them.
So now, as much as possible,
I'm conscious of a tempo that feels like a conversation.

Smartphone first
I think most people who read notes are on smartphones.
That's why I write with smartphones as the standard.
When viewed on a PC,
you might think, 'Aren't there too many line breaks?'
But it's just right when viewed on a smartphone.
People scroll with their thumbs on smartphones.
So it's easier to read when there's white space.
Conversely, if the text is packed tight,
you'll want to close it the moment you think about reading it.
I don't want to force my readers to do muscle training.
I don't want them to get tired just from reading the text.
So I consider white space to be part of the writing.
There are surprisingly many scrapped articles
People are surprised when I say this is surprising.
Actually, there are quite a few scrapped articles.
Why?
Because they are unpleasant.
Of course, I don't have any bad intentions.
But when I re-read them,
if I think, 'Someone might feel bad about this,'
I delete them.
My notes aren't meant to refute anyone.
I don't want to win against anyone either.
I want people to laugh a little after reading them.
I want them to feel a little more energized.
That's more important.
So rather than what I want to write,
I prioritize how the person reading it will feel.
Actively publish failures
I am not a successful person.
I'm not a billionaire.
I'm not a celebrity.
I'm just an ordinary middle-aged guy.
That's why I have many stories of failure.
I eat ice cream even though I'm on a diet.
I don't lose weight even though I ran.
I get scolded by my wife.
I'm told I'm argumentative.
It's mostly like that.
But you know,
actually, failures are more relatable.
Rather than success stories,
failure stories make people go,
'I get that!'
So I don't try to look cool.
In fact, recently,
I've been failing while thinking, 'This will make a good article.'
I don't know if I'm growing or not.

No difficult words allowed
I'm not smart.
So I can't use difficult words.
I used to think this was a flaw.
But recently, I feel differently.
You can get your point across without using difficult words.
In fact, it's easier to convey that way.
Even elementary school students can read it.
Even junior high school students can read it.
Even adults can read it.
That's fine.
I don't want to make my readers look up a dictionary.
I want to make them laugh.
Write so that the scene comes to mind
I'm conscious of this too.
For example,
'I was scolded by my wife'
is weak on its own.
But,
putting both hands on the bathroom sink,
while staring at the drain,
'You're not very interesting, are you, Daddy?'
I was told.
That way, you can see the scene a little.
The image floats in the reader's mind.
I'm not a movie director.
But I want to create images with text.
I have that feeling.

Actually, the thing I'm most conscious of
I have written about various things up to this point.
Things like tempo.
Things like line breaks.
Things like scene descriptions.
But, there is actually one thing I am most conscious of.
That is,
to have people empathize with me.
I am not an expert.
Therefore, I cannot teach difficult knowledge.
However,
"I understand"
"We are the same"
"That happens, doesn't it"
I might be able to write articles that make people think things like that.
For that purpose, what I am conscious of is
finding the fun in everyday life.
Conversations with my spouse.
Things that happen while running.
Failures at work.
These are not special things.
But, I believe that it is precisely within such casual daily life that there are things many people can empathize with.
Since I started writing notes,
the way I look at daily life has changed compared to before.
"This is interesting"
"This might make a good article"
The number of times I can think like that has increased.
I think life is probably the same.
Rather than continuing to search for special happiness,
noticing the small bits of fun and happiness right in front of you.
That makes every day a little more enjoyable.
That is why I intend to continue writing about the everyday life that is everywhere.
If the people who read it
"We are the same"
"That made me laugh a little"
I would be happy if they thought things like that.
Surely, in your daily lives as well,
there are interesting events rolling around that you haven't noticed yet.Today is a story about that.

I hope you all have a fun and smiling day today too♪
Have a great day♪
