Graduate from "I can't write well"! 3 Rules for Writing "Relatable Notes" Even with Zero Writing Skills🌱
No matter how many times I wrote, I felt like, "Something is off..." I was carrying that frustration around.
Even when I tried my best to write, it wasn't read.
I had the desire to convey something, but I couldn't put it into words well.
"Maybe I just don't have a talent for writing..."
There was a time when I thought that and stopped writing.
But then, I realized something.
"Writing that gets read" isn't about stringing together clever words.
It's about delivering "empathy" to the reader's heart.
In this article,
I will introduce three tips I used to gradually change from having "zero writing skills" to writing "conveyable text," incorporating my own real experiences✍️✨
By reading this,
you will understand "the reason why anyone can write 'text that gets read'" and
"how to create empathy that you can practice starting today"📘
Good evening🌙 I'm Ru-Nurse😊
I'm currently working as a nurse while taking on the challenge of "ChatGPT x Side Hustle." I'm struggling with AI and Note, aiming to eventually "graduate from nursing"💻
💡Rule 1 | "Make them imagine" rather than "Convey"
When I first started writing Note,
I thought, "I have to explain things properly" or "I have to write clearly," and
I wrote while organizing things in my head.
But even if it "conveyed" the message, it didn't "resonate."
Even if it was read, it didn't remain in anyone's heart.
So, I changed my mindset.
Instead of "what I want to convey," I choose "words that make a scene appear in the reader's heart."
For example—
❌ "If you write carefully, it will surely be read."
⭕️ "The moment I received the comment, 'I resonated with this article,' my heart felt warm and fuzzy."
Even though both sentences "convey the result," the latter hasthe temperature of the air.
The reader imagines that scene and overlaps it with their own experience.
In other words, "conveyable text" is not about lining up information, but
leaving an image inside the reader.
When you make a "scene" appear in the reader's mind, only then does their heart move🌸
💡Rule 2 | "Move" emotions instead of "lining them up"
Until a little while ago, I thought about text structure using "Kishōtenketsu" (Introduction, Development, Twist, Conclusion).
But with that method, even if "information" was conveyed, "feelings" didn't reach the reader.
What text that gets read on Note has in common is
**"it is written in an order that moves emotions."**
People are drawn in not by the flow of the story, but by theflow of the heart.
That is why it is important to be conscious of the order that guides emotions rather than just lining up words🌱
The flow of emotions changes completely with just a slight difference in order.
For example, if you write with this rhythm, the reader's heart will move naturally👇
1️⃣ Realization: "Oh, this might be about me."
2️⃣ Empathy: "I get it... I felt the same way."
3️⃣ Relief: "There was someone else struggling in the same way."
4️⃣ Hope: "Maybe I can change little by little, just like this person."
Just by being conscious of this flow, the "explanation" in your text turns into an "empathy story."
Even if you don't use difficult words,
writing with a rhythmic flow of emotion naturally stays in the reader's heart.
When writing,
try working backward not from 'what to tell the reader' but from 'what feeling you want them to have when they finish.'
from there.
That alone will turn your writing into a 'Note that gets read to the end'✨
💡Rule 3 | Write with 'Body Heat' rather than perfection
I used to think, 'I have to write better' every time.
Correcting typos, fixing the structure, re-reading the draft over and over—
But no matter how much I polished it, it remained 'writing that didn't reach anyone.'
One day, I read an article by a popular creator and realized:
It's not 'skilled writing' but 'writing with body heat' that moves people.that.
The charm of writing lies not in perfection, but in 'temperature'.
Even slightly messy words can capture the heart if they contain honest feelings.
In fact, rather than overly perfect words, slightly wavering words are more real.
For example—
❌ 'This is what I think'
⭕️ 'Honestly, I didn't have any confidence, but I still wanted to write it'
This little bit of 'humanity' moves the reader's heart.
Note readers aren't looking for your 'correct answer'.
They are looking for your 'true feelings'.
That's why it's okay to write about your feelings of hesitation and your moments of anxiety just as they are.
Instead of polishing your words, focus onpreserving your own temperature.
Because the more your writing is slightly imperfect,
the more perfect (touching) it becomes for someone else🌷
Imperfection is your very own temperature🌷
🌷Summary | Conveying through 'Heart Temperature' rather than writing skill
When you try to write well, your words become stiff.
But when you relax your shoulders a bit, 'writing from the heart' reaches people more effectively.
What readers remember isn't beautiful sentences, butthe emotions at that time.In other words, it's more important to leave behind 'temperature' than writing skill.
Let's review the 3 rules once more👇
1️⃣ Make them imagine, rather than just telling them. (Convey with emotion, not just information)
2️⃣ Rhythm of emotion, rather than structure. (Write in the order that moves the reader's heart)
3️⃣ Body heat, rather than perfection. (Leave behind 'humanity' rather than just skill)
Just by being conscious of these, your writing will change from 'words meant to look good' to 'words meant to reach the heart'🌱
Writing improves not through practice, but throughresonance. The words you write from the heart will surely reach someone.
The day will surely come when that one sentence gently pushes someone forward.
So, it's okay.
Don't try to "write well," just "write with your own warmth."
Those words will warm someone's heart.😊
