[Meetup Report] Even with one bus per hour, my heart felt like it was on a half-day journey

6th meetup in this community🎶🎶

friends are just meant to be'

So, I went ahead and did it---♪
My firstoutdoor field trip👣Exciting❦
To asatoyama (village forest)rich in nature that you wouldn't think was in Tokyo
I took a bus that runs once an hour from Tama Center Station (I'm like a kid, I love the front row for the view, haha)

In these philosophical dialogues,one theme per monthis handled,
and someone other than the community owner takes on a
leader-like role (= title: Monthly Boss),
a project where wevisit their home turf

We went to a spot run by someone I met only once at my second meetup🪵

Including members' families, there were about30participants, a large group🍀
(Some even brought friends, I was surprised!)
I couldn't explain it well, but I had zero idea of this possibility~
Some participants even came from theNagoyaarea,a few people😲

The weather was perfect, and just as I wished,it stayed cloudy☁
It would be too hot if it were too sunny... so I felt like, 'Thank you, God!' (lol

I got to tour a facility run by a member of the community I'm currently involved with~

Well-beingboosting spot in Machida City🎋
I bought a wreath⭕️ and a houseplant🪴
I decorated the living room with them right away and my family is enjoying them♬

Now, about the day itself,
since it was a station I was getting off at for the first time and the bus frequency was extremely low,
I was worried and left the house early~

The station is cute too😍

I arrived~🚍️Yoridoko Onoji-juku

Yoridoko Onoji-jukuis a complex facility in Onoji-machi, Machida City, Tokyo,
renovated from anold folk house

The operating corporation was jointly proposed by Minoru Kamata and others.

It is created as a community hub where nature in the Satoyama and
cafes, community interaction, and medical/nursing care support are gently connected.

On the premises, there are a cafe, community space,
visiting nursing and rehabilitation station, a storehouse, a vegetable garden,
a home-visit nursing care support office, and a hill behind the house with a bamboo grove.

In other words, it is not just a cafe, but a place where medical care, welfare, interaction, and nature experiences are integrated
.

Inside the atmospheric building...

Since there were many people, we split into two groups for lunch.
I was in the second group, so I joined the outdoor tour first.

While feeling the beauty of Japan~
I walked through the fields and bamboo groves🎍🎋

After that, we formed a circle (circle formation style) and
a nice idea came from the management members of the community💡

Since some people came from as far away as Aichi Prefecture,
and many members gathered from all over the Kanto region,
it would be a waste
to just say goodbye👋 without knowing who is who, right? So let's
『introduce ourselves』.
Then the monthly boss asked,
『What is the information you definitely want to include?』
and suggested the topic of 【
your own hometown】💮

This was excellent🍒.
It was easy to talk and it was a meaningful moment where
each participant's story became easier to remember
.

Lunch was provided by Tomarigi within the Satoyama area,
and I enjoyed it

Yoridoko Onoji-juku is...

Rather than a "place consumed as a tourist resource,"
it is a "place where medical care and community are woven into daily life
," a Satoyama in Tokyo where you can easily grasp the essence of "I wish this existed."

It is truly a place where what you wish existed actually exists.

There are many parts where I feel it is contributing to the reduction of dementia onset rates in Machida City!
(A virtuous cycle ♻️ between those who want to do something or can do something, and those who want to learn or be taught)

Government
officials should also pay attention to this place I felt.

Even if it is online-based,
I deeply felt that I really love
the time when each of us can feel embodied knowledge
through our own sensibilities.
