FIELD OF VIEW 30th + 1st Anniversary Live #FOV31st @ EX THEATER ROPPONGI, Tokyo
While watching the streaming archive, I was rewinding the time I spent in a dreamlike state. I forgot about the passage of time and watched it over and over again.

2026/5/22 EX THEATER ROPPONGI
The chic and modern space, based in black, felt like an approach that invites you to immerse yourself in the live performance.
Opening SE
"Kimi ga Suki da"
"Yumemitsuzukete Ima mo"
I found myself smiling naturally from the very beginning. It started with a completely different feeling from last year's 30th anniversary.
"Sepia"
Asaoka-san's singing voice was divine. His appearance while singing was beautiful, and I realized I was crying while listening to it. I didn't even know the meaning of the tears streaming down my cheeks. Perhaps I cried because his singing voice was so graceful and resonant.
It was a very strange feeling. The pure singing voice and the sound of the drums, which seemed to count the time that had passed, filled my heart as if to revive my memories.
"Sakura Saku Kono Basho de"
It felt like the band FIELD OF VIEW was conveying their stance of always looking straight ahead and delivering their thoughts.
"Kawaita Sakebi"
The more I listen to it, the more the word 'ghost' comes to mind (though that might be a poor choice of words).
I cannot help but think that a mysterious power resides in Asaoka-san's singing voice. I keenly felt that it is the drumming of Kobashi-san, the guitar of Oda-san, and the performances of all the current support members that allow that singing voice to be expressed to its fullest.
"Last Good-bye"
Amidst the beautiful pale blue lights,
the tone of Oda-san's guitar, which seemed to suppress his emotions, tightened my chest.
For some reason, sad songs suit Asaoka-san's singing voice. I stopped waving my penlight and listened intently, not wanting to miss the scene unfolding before me or any of the sounds.
"THINK OF MYSELF"
Kobashi-san is cool.
"La La La La ~Tsugi no Forever~"
"Totsuzen"
The freshness like a young man and the unwavering strength radiated an indescribable presence.
"Garakuta" (Unreleased song)
It was a song that made me feel that the band FIELD OF VIEW is still continuing to innovate and transform.
"Kawaru Mono"
"Kawaranai Mono"
"Kaenai Mono"
The way they expressed that spirit through sound felt like a declaration of their will to keep challenging themselves, with a ruggedness that encourages them, and the breadth of an adult who has tasted both the bitter and the sweet.
The current "FIELD OF VIEW," now a three-piece, gives a feeling where its contours blend in comfortably.
It seemed to clearly state that while changing its flavor with the passage of time, it continues to be FIELD OF VIEW.
The setlist had a narrative quality, as if time-leaping between the present, past, and future. It was a live performance that felt like watching a single movie.
It was a wonderful live performance where I could feel that the band FIELD OF VIEW values everything, from their creativity that is not bound by frameworks to the good old things.
Watching the stream, I understand well why they chose "EX THEATER ROPPONGI" as the venue. In their desire to deliver beautiful visuals and clear sound, I can see both the professionalism of a music group that is particular about everything and the face of a boy.
Postscript
To FIELD OF VIEW, Yuya Asaoka
Looking at the celebratory flowers, I think,
that you are still in the midst of continuing to challenge yourselves.
