Running Log: Sub-zero runs are freezing
A night run in the middle of winter is a battle against the cold.
That said, my body still ends up drenched in sweat.
Perhaps because I have poor circulation, I struggle to focus on running during winter runs because I am too busy dealing with the coldness of my hands. This time, I went out wearing knit gloves over windproof gloves, but they were completely ineffective against the cold. It is disappointing that I had to turn back halfway through again due to the extreme cold. Since my hands are cold to begin with, it seems they won't get warm at all without a heat source inside the gloves. I need to either run during the day or come up with better solutions if I want to go out at night.

As for this run, setting aside the cold hands, my cardiovascular and leg condition have finally improved, perhaps because I've finally shaken off the New Year's holiday slump, and the act of running itself was very enjoyable and easy. I had some tightness in my calves, but they felt better as I warmed up while running. Cold is truly the natural enemy of sports; my first priority is to buy gloves that can handle the cold!
