Living like a river, without forcing things
This is Rossy.
A river does not force things.
It does not try to climb to high places, nor does it show off its strength by flowing against the current.
It turns where it must turn, quietly changes its shape in narrow places, and flows toward lower ground.
Yet, that gentle flow can change the shape of rocks over a long period of time.
In this world, there is an atmosphere that says there is value only in pushing yourself.
Phrases like "give it your all until you reach your limit," "the real work starts when you're pushed to the edge," or "do it like your life depends on it" have long been favored.
Of course, there are times in life when you must stand your ground.
There are days when you must walk through a storm.
But in the world today, people tend to push themselves too hard even when left alone, because they get swept away by the current of people who are forcing themselves.
And so, they try to meet expectations.
They try not to be left behind by those around them.
They want to be recognized more.
Even without doing anything, they naturally end up pressing down on the accelerator.
That is why I believe it is important to keep the idea of "not forcing things" within yourself.
It is not for the sake of being lazy.
It is so that you do not break yourself.
Pushing yourself is why you can remain safe and sound.
Relax a little.
Pause for a moment.
Keep a space within yourself where you do not push yourself.
Like river water, do not resist more than necessary, and do not strain more than necessary.
I believe that quiet flow is what, unexpectedly, continues the furthest.
