Every day, something begins, but just as often, someone quietly makes a decision.
Work, dreams, plans, relationships, habits, expectations, affection...
Without fanfare or applause, there is someone who has made a firm decision.
To the back of the one making a decision that no one else can see.
There is no applause.
Yet, that figure is beautiful.
That is why this is a poem dedicated to the 'aesthetics of decision-making' that no one else knows about.
—From Ronji
The world
seems to be overflowing with beginnings,
but the opposite is also true.
Somewhere today,
something was quietly let go.
A curtain closed in silence.
A whispered monologue.
It is an incredibly difficult decision.
So today, too,
to that decision that no one else noticed,
I send these words.
'That was a nice fight.'
Thank you.
