10 Days After Starting note: Changes I've Experienced

It has been 10 days since I started note. I would like to write about my progress so far and the changes I have experienced myself.

A 10-day numerical review

Excluding short posts, I have uploaded 20 articles so far, receiving 1,005 views and 219 likes. Having my articles featured in a magazine along the way brought many people to my page, and that became a driving force that helped me work hard on creating articles. Thank you very much.

I have also created a sitemap that visualizes the view and like counts for each article. I have also written about the circumstances behind having my articles featured in the magazine there.

Things I was careful about when creating articles

I will write about the things I was careful about when creating my articles.

Including at least a little uniqueness not found in other notes

I thought it would be pointless to have many almost identical articles within the same note community, so I searched by keyword in advance and wrote about topics that were not covered much, or content where I could bring out uniqueness by incorporating my own perspective.

Of course, if you look at the vast internet or the world of books, there are countless contents that overlap or are superior to my articles, but considering that I will continue to use note in the future, I placed importance on uniqueness.

Not straying from the themes and content I can write about

There is a limit to the themes and content I can write about right now, but trying to go beyond this would require so-called research and input. I continue to do input such as reading regularly, but if I look for material just to write articles, it becomes difficult to continue, so for example, even for book reviews, I choose niche ones from among those I have read so far.

Regarding the content as well, I imagined a future where I would have to rely on generative AI if I tried to write about things beyond my own knowledge. Therefore, I am writing about things I can write within the scope of my own daily thinking.

Keeping the length within 2000 characters

I felt that my concentration drops when it exceeds 2000 characters, whether I am reading or writing, so I decided to cut down on the content I want to write and keep the articles within 2000 characters.

This character limit is also important for continuously creating and posting articles. In my case, I try to write half in the morning and half at night, and 1000 characters is an amount I can properly write before and after work, which is why I have been able to continue posting every day so far.

Regarding the operation of note

Regarding the operation of note, I am also doing it as a study of the basics of marketing and sales, so I will write about what I have been able to implement so far.

Returning "likes" and "follows" promptly

After all, it means that people are interested in me, and if I let them pile up, it becomes difficult to deal with them, so I have been reacting within the same day.

Creating a sitemap

I thought it was still too early to create a sitemap, but as I approached 20 articles, it became difficult to keep track of which themes I was writing about and which articles I had already written, so I decided to create one. I have been using articles like this one as a reference.

Started steady promotional efforts via X (Twitter)

At the moment, there are almost no people clicking through from X to view my articles, but with the future in mind, I have started steady activities on X.

Since just promoting my articles isn't very interesting, I am also using it for verbalization training, such as seeing if I can make three consecutive posts within a few minutes.

Changes in myself since starting note

Since starting note, the amount of time I spend idly wasting time in the morning and at night (napping on the sofa, messing around on my phone, etc.) has decreased drastically. I feel that if I have that time, it is more meaningful to spend it writing articles.

Also, perhaps because I am fully expressing myself through writing, I feel that I am able to control my desire for self-assertion much better at home and at work. I am greedy enough to hope that by continuing to write, my verbalization skills will improve, and my communication skills will increase as well.

Furthermore, it has led to the confidence that I am able to keep writing articles because of the accumulation of my reading and learning up to this point. In that sense, I am grateful for my desire to learn, so perhaps my self-esteem has also risen a little.

What I want to do from here on

For now, I want to do my best to reach the goal of 50 articles by the end of September. I think that as I accumulate a reasonable number of articles, new things I want to write about will emerge.

Also, I haven't created an introduction article yet, so that is something that needs to be addressed.
