[Michi-no-Eki Shiriuchi (Hokkaido)] Is the stamp book an urban legend!? Overcoming the tragedy of two consecutive stations, a journey healed by chive dumplings and Toshizo Hijikata—The journey to conquer all Michi-no-Eki 59/1230 stations
Hello!
I am Tadaishi, a "goal achievement expert who supports your dreams."
My life's work, "a 5-year journey to visit all 1230 Michi-no-Eki across the country.".
This is the travel diary for the second station on my first day landing in Hokkaido. October 12, 2025.
I have arrived at Michi-no-Eki "Shiriuchi" in Shiriuchi-cho, Kamiiso-gun, Hokkaido.

😭 The phantom theory of the Hokkaido stamp book.
First of all, let me report something.
The "stamp rally book" that was sold out at the previous station—
I headed to the shop with high hopes that they would have it here, but...
It was sold out here too...!!
Wait, is the Hokkaido stamp rally book some kind of urban legend? (lol)
I didn't get it on my memorable first day.
Once again, I'll just stamp a piece of paper and move on to the next one with grace!😂

Actually, the famous enka singer Saburo Kitajima was born in Shiriuchi-cho, Kamiiso-gun, Hokkaido, so he was also featured on the stamp.
🥟 Don't fall without getting something! The shock of "chives"
However, I can't visit 1230 stations if I get depressed just because there's no stamp book. This "Shiriuchi" is actually a treasure trove of hidden gourmet food and history.
First, check this out!

"Shiriuchi Dumplings" Actually, Shiriuchi-cho is a production area for "chives" that boasts the highest production volume in Hokkaido!🌿 They sell frozen dumplings made with plenty of those specialty chives, and these definitely look delicious...
I envy those who can do teppanyaki while sleeping in their cars🤤
⚔️ A must-see for Toshizo fans! The romance of history
And there is a sign standing tall at the entrance.

It's "Toshizo Hijikata"! This is a place associated with the former Shogunate army that passed through during the Boshin War. It's an irresistible spot for Shinsengumi fans and history buffs. When I think about them fighting in the northern land, the trouble of not having a stamp book seems trivial (lol)
💡 A quick word as a goal achievement expert
A situation where you can't get the "tool (book)" twice in a row. Even in the process of achieving goals, there are many times when the necessary resources are not available.
At such times, do you lament, "I don't have the tools, so I don't feel motivated"? Or do you switch your mindset to, "Even without the tools, I can still achieve the original purpose (learning about the local charm)"?
What matters is not 'wanting what you don't have,' but 'finding what you do have.' Even without the book, there were delicious chives and passionate history here. That is enough!

✨ Will the third time be the charm!?
There was plenty to see, including kelp and specialties from the neighboring 'Fukushima Town.' Now, I'm heading to the next station right nearby, 'Michi-no-Eki Yokozuna no Sato Fukushima'!
Next time for sure...Will I finally find the stamp book next time!? Everyone, I'm waiting for your supportive comments! (lol)
