On February 21, 2026, my whirlwind drive through the Tochigi area finally reached its 134th station! 🚗💨 The place I arrived at this time is filled with the energy of nature: "Roadside Station Motegi".
When I parked the car, the mountains behind and the clear air welcomed me.
On the premises, there is a "Baumkuchen Workshop" with a pointed roof that really catches the eye! As I stepped inside, it was truly a parade of "yuzu" (citron) 🍋✨

In the previous town of Ichikai, I made a "strategic retreat" in front of a giant hamburger, but... here, I gave in completely to the temptation of yuzu! 🛒✌️

From yuzu vinegar to dressings and sauces... the shelves are dyed in the color of yuzu, and you can almost smell the refreshing aroma drifting through the air.
First, the must-have specialty, "Yuzu Salt Ramen."
I'm taking home this legendary flavor, which achieved a three-peat victory at the Michi-1 Grand Prix, as a souvenir 🍜
And personally, the most shocking item was this "Yuzu-scented Natto Sauce"! It's an unexpected combination of natto and yuzu, but it's a high-quality product that has even been recognized at appraisal competitions. I have a feeling this will be a total rice thief 🍚🔥

From "Motegi Yokan" made with local yuzu and strawberries to masterpieces from long-established Japanese confectionery shops. Each one is filled with the love of the land, and just looking at them makes my heart soften.
