As I thought, 'A husband is best when he's healthy and away'
↑
My daughter, who left school early due to feeling unwell, was able to go to school energetically yesterday since it was the final day of her regular exams.
At the end of my blog post the day before yesterday, I mentioned that my husband sent me a LINE message asking me to bring him a change of clothes, but when I replied that I wouldn't be able to for a while, he immediately sent:
Just now, the hospital banned visitors due to the flu and COVID outbreaks. The daily rental amenity kit includes hospital pajamas, so I'll just wear those, it's fine.
Lu, lucky!
My daughter said she was going to take a bath and sleep for a while, so I started making stew for her and keema curry for my son.
I was trying to sauté in two pots and season them at the same time, when...
Oh! I'm out of curry roux and flour for the stew.
It's raining and there's yellow sand outside, so it's dark... I don't want to go out.
Usually, I would check before I start cooking.
The nearby convenience store didn't have them, so I ended up going to the supermarket.
Ah, so this is how the day ends, too (lol).
And yesterday, since my son had an off-campus learning activity, he had a slight fever and was dismissed at 12:00, so he stayed home, and I took the change of clothes to the hospital for my husband.
At first, he said he would stay home and play games, but he seemed to get surprised and anxious about whether he should come along, so he ended up coming with me (lol).
I handed the luggage to the ward receptionist, took my son to see his favorite character figure, and went to buy a cake for myself.
Son, what do you want for lunch? Is Hotto Motto okay?
I ordered at Hotto Motto, and while waiting, I went to the convenience store next door, and opened the back door to give my son what I had bought.
Huh? Where's my son?
What? What? Plus, the smell of the car and the luggage are different!!
I got the wrong car!
As I was closing the door, I made eye contact with the middle-aged man in the driver's seat Σ( ̄。 ̄ノ)ノ
I, I, I'm so sorry. It was the car next to yours. I'm sorry.
I'm truly sorry.
They were the same color and the same car parked side-by-side, and I just opened it while lost in thought.
Sigh, I really messed up...
My brain has gone a bit crazy from all this trouble lately.
I got home, ate lunch with my son, and was practicing for his entrance exam essay when... I got severe diarrhea (tears).
I couldn't eat the cake I bought or dinner...
While I was lying down until it was time to pick up my daughter, my husband sent me a message:
I got an email from K's school about a grant or something, do you have the paper with the password and ID?
I threw it away.
You're kidding... call the school and ask.
I'm the one who threw it away, but you can call them yourself, right? You're free, aren't you? You're in a private room, right?
I was annoyed, so I ignored him, planning to ask at the office on my way to pick up my daughter.
Ah, for a while I was full of anxiety being alone, but if he's not here, I don't have to see his face, so that's fine.
I can't visit him anyway, so it's a relief not to have to see him until he's discharged.
Right now, I'm actually writing this blog at a hair salon.
No, no, you might think it's normal, but I have panic disorder and anxiety disorder, so being confined for a long time is quite a challenge.
Thinking, 'The kids are healthy and at home, it has to be today!', I had only planned for a cut, but halfway through I added a perm...
Oh, this is bad. Deep breath, deep breath, it's okay, it's okay. Since things were starting to feel shaky, I was using this blog to distract myself while waiting for the perm solution to set.
I remembered that whenever something happened in the past, I would change my mood or find the strength to carry on by bleaching my hair blonde or getting a very short cut (though I usually keep it a bit long for a very short style), and since I won't be seeing my husband until he's discharged anyway, I decided to cut it short to motivate myself.
Very short Parisian style.
That's the hairstyle that comes up in droves when you search for it (lol).
Before I left, in the morning, I got another LINE message from my husband.
I won't be driving my car for a while, so the battery will die. Start the engine for about 30 minutes once a week. Just idling.
Huh? I don't want to.
There's no way a worrier like me can just let the car idle for 30 minutes.
When I looked it up with AI, it said that driving for 30 minutes is safer than idling. Otherwise, just disconnect the battery terminals.
I can't drive for 30 minutes once a week either, so I'll just disconnect the terminals!!
My neighbor, who loves his car, always washes it every Saturday, so he might be there now.
I rushed outside, and bingo.
He was washing his car.
I haven't spoken to my neighbor in years (lol), so I was nervous, but desperate times call for desperate measures.
When I talked to him, he said he would disconnect the terminals after he finished washing his car.
When I messaged my husband, he called me and said:
If you disconnect the terminals, the navigation system will reset, so call the dealer representative and ask if that's okay before you do it. Tell the neighbor not to do it yet.
...Why don't you call them yourself?
I told him that.
Understood.
After that, I didn't hear anything, and then the representative called me saying, 'I received a text message from your husband.'
In the end, I asked my neighbor again to please go ahead and disconnect the terminals.
I am truly being helped by various neighbors.
I don't feel any appreciation, gratitude, or remorse from my husband.
As long as the kids and I are healthy, it's better to live as the three of us.
Since my daughter dropped out of her affiliated high school two years ago and had to retake the entrance exam for her current high school, my family love for my husband has vanished, so I decided to say what I want and do what I want, and it has made things incredibly easy (lol).
I stopped worrying about my husband and his family.
I'd like to post the blog I wrote about that time as well.
May we all three spend tomorrow in good health as well.
