I will be speaking at a note event!

The Creative Awards are finally entering the second half. I want to enjoy it to the fullest until the very end! I hope I can be of help for the final sprint!

I have been invited to speak at note's events several times before, but please don't say, 'Oh, it's Akitani again,' haha. I might talk about the same things, haha.

This time, literary critic and book reviewer Kaho Miyake will be joining me! I am incredibly excited to meet her. Speaking of Miyake-san, her books like 'The Technique of Verbalizing What You Love: When You Want to Talk About How Great Your Fave Is but Can Only Say "Yabai!"' and 'Why You Can't Read Books When You're Working' are very popular, but I personally loved 'How Can a Daughter Kill Her Mother?' very much. She explores the question of why, while the so-called 'patricide' and 'Oedipus complex' have been discussed for a long time, matricide by a daughter does not become manifest, through various works. This really hits home. (I've already lost the vocabulary to talk about my 'fave,' haven't I? I'm using so many clichés, haha.)

And then, there is the wonderful Eri Aoyama, whom everyone admires. I thought she wrote such beautiful prose... and then I realized she originally wrote pure literature. That makes perfect sense. Since there will likely be differences in our writing styles compared to me, an entertainment writer, I am very much looking forward to our conversation!
