No matter how much a person seems to devote themselves to others, at the root of it, it is often about themselves.
If I were still a boy, I wouldn't have believed that was true.
Back then, I trusted people purely, so I thought that those who devoted themselves to others were truly doing so altruistically.

✅ If you understand human psychology

No matter how kind a person is, even if it's your own mother, there is no one who doesn't think about themselves.
This is something I clearly understood after I became an adult and a parent myself.
Seeing other moms around me, while they do care about their children, they also struggle between that and their own desires, which made me realize that at the root, there is an instinct to value oneself as well.
However, I don't blame them for that at all; in fact, it might be a necessary sense for survival.

✅ What it means to live

In order to live as a human, I think there are times when we must act for the sake of others.
But when you think about why we do that, it often ends up being an action for our own survival.
That is because if we don't, we will become isolated in human society and unable to survive.
I have never met her, but perhaps someone like Mother Teresa might be an exception.
But living is not just about beautiful things.
You must also accept that there will inevitably be some dirt somewhere.

✅ Summary

Even if you ask someone you trust for something, if that person runs out of capacity, they will eventually prioritize themselves.
And you might end up receiving attacks that stem from that lack of capacity.
Working as a company employee requires you to push yourself a bit in that regard, and it can become painful between people.
Everyone is doing their best for themselves.
Let's understand that and keep living today.
