People Can Be More Creative 18 | The Power of Feeling May Be a Strength for the Future
Do you underestimate those things that 'just feel interesting'?
You can't explain the reason well
But it feels interesting somehow
You feel a sense of unease for some reason
You think it seems interesting somehow
We often don't trust these feelings very much.
Because there is no evidence
Because it is not logical
Because it cannot be explained
But in reality, those feelings can sometimes be important signs.
People sometimes sense things before they can put them into words.
For example,
Feeling a sense of familiarity with someone you just met
Feeling that something is wrong
Getting excited about a new idea
Noticing small changes in the environment
These reactions are not necessarily preceded by words or logic.
We sometimes feel things before we can explain them.
Cognitive scientist Antonio Damasio demonstrated that emotions and bodily reactions support decision-making (Damasio, 1994).
Creativity can start with a sense of "unease."
Many discoveries and innovations did not have clear answers from the beginning.
"Why is that?"
"Is that really true?"
"Something feels off."
They start from such small feelings of unease.
In other words, creativity is not just about knowing the right answer,
but also the power to sense possibilities that have not yet taken shape.
As data increases, the "power of feeling" may become a value.
AI can process vast amounts of information. It can analyze data.
It is also good at finding patterns.
However,
where you find value
what moves your heart
what you find interesting
Such aspects may remain as the human domain.
In an era where information is increasing, isn't it becoming important to decide what to feel?
Perhaps the "power of feeling" will become a strength precisely because it is the AI era.
From now on, it may become harder to differentiate oneself based on knowledge alone.
That is precisely why,
noticing unease
valuing curiosity
Listening to the direction in which your heart moves
I feel that such a "power to feel" becomes the gateway to creativity.

Magazine: "People Can Be More Creative"
An era where AI can quickly provide the "correct answer."
That is precisely why I feel the question, "What is human-like creativity?" is becoming increasingly important.
Anxiety and peace of mind. Focus and space. Thought and bodily sensation.
By incorporating neuroscience, psychology, mindfulness, and practical experience in organizational settings,
"People can inherently be more creative."
This is a magazine that explores such possibilities.
