note de Noël Letter | Day 08 "White Space"

In the morning, light streams in through the gap in the curtains.
That soft light slowly warms the air in the room.

After a week of rushing,
a "time of nothing" has finally arrived.

The sound of the washing machine has stopped,
and my daughter is still in dreamland.
With a warm cup in my hands,
I gazed blankly at the particles of light.

I suddenly think,
the feeling that I "have to do something"
sometimes makes my heart restless.

But what is truly important
is what can only be seen in the "time of doing nothing."
A place where the heart regains its breath.
That might be what "white space" is to me.

A day with no plans,
the warmth in the silence,
the light shining through the window.
All of that
becomes a light that illuminates the next step.

🕯 Today's light word fortune: "White Space"

The library is closed on Mondays.
The white space that comes after the busy drop-off at daycare.
I feel like I've regained some peace of mind.
