In the morning, my daughter's feet are cold, and
she says, "Mommy, make me warm."

With a still-sleepy face,
her small back fits perfectly into my arms.
The moment I hug her,
that coldness also becomes a part of happiness.

Warmth,
might be more about the temperature of the heart than the temperature of the hands.

When I touch someone,
I think, ah, I am alive.
That certainty gently wraps around me today.

Writing is surely the same.
Every time I spin words,
perhaps I am sharing warmth with someone.
