The moment the morning light spills through the gap in the curtains,
the air in the room changes softly.
Beside my little daughter who is still asleep,
being wrapped in the warm light,
is enough to make the core of my heart relax.

A sunny spot is
like a "fragment of hope" found in the cold winter air.
Even if it is cold outside,
here, it is calm and gently filled.

Come to think of it, ever since I became a mother,
my time has always been spent "for someone else."
However, when I sit in a sunny spot,
I feel like I can finally return to "myself."

It is important to shine light on others, but
sometimes it is okay to be the one basking in the sunlight.
