When I stand by the window in the morning,
I see light bleeding through the thin curtains.

The light that gently illuminates my daughter's cheek
seems to be whispering, 'Everything is okay today, too.'

Whether it's a day of big changes,
or a day that just passes by calmly,
the light remains there, unchanged.

The moment someone is kind to you,
a night when words save you,
the color of the sky you suddenly look up at—
I believe these, too, are the 'lights' that glow within us.

Visible light is not the only
true illumination.
The small light that glows deep in the heart
is what continues to light up our days.
