Why Luxury Cars and Tower Mansions Don't Resonate with the Heart
I have tried my best with coaching and the law of attraction.
But somehow, it just didn't feel right.
Have you ever had that experience?
Have you ever had that experience?
Even though I tried answering the question, "Remove your limitations and imagine what you truly want to obtain,"
I couldn't really get excited about it.
The examples often given for what to imagine are things like tower mansions, luxury cars, and overseas travel—things that seem achievable by "spending money."
The moment I am faced with those things,
for some reason, I feel my enthusiasm cooling down.
I thought I was supposed to be excited, but instead,
"Wait... is this really what I wanted?"
It feels like someone else's business,
a sense that "something just doesn't fit."
This time, I would like to think a little about the true nature of that "lack of resonance."
► "Borrowed images" versus what wells up from within
When you hear the word "success,"
what kind of image comes to mind?
A luxurious house, sophisticated attire,
living in some far-off place.
I can certainly imagine those things.
But that might just be tracing the "general public's image of a successful person."
In other words, it is a "borrowed image."
Then, what is the image of yourself when you have achieved success?
In my case,
what comes up is not something external.
It is something closer to a feeling that wells up from within.
It is an image of "how I want to be"—a state of being.
These two things do not necessarily align.
That is precisely why, even when "symbols of success" are lined up in front of me, my heart sometimes does not move.
► Not symbols, but textures
Perhaps the reason things on a vision board don't feel quite right is that what I'm seeking isn't the things themselves.
What I want isn't a 'luxury home,' but the 'peace of mind' to enjoy myself wherever I am.
Not 'free time,' but those fragments of quiet time, like taking a deep breath in the morning light.
Not symbols, but textures.
I feel that material 'images of success' end up painting over these subtle sensations.
► The 'interruption' called positivity
There are moments when I suddenly pause while receiving coaching. It happens when I'm finally about to reach the negative emotions inside me or the messy, unorganized true feelings.
'That's a good realization.' 'Let's affirm that it's not like you.'
When such kind words are returned, while I feel relieved,
I have sometimes felt that a 'positive' label was placed over emotions I hadn't fully experienced yet, causing my thoughts to be 'interrupted' right there.
It's not organization or resolution, but a bleaching by words.
Just by shifting the perspective, only a lingering sense of discomfort remains, as if I haven't grasped anything at all.
I do believe that the technique of using the RAS (Reticular Activating System) to focus on what you desire is effective.
However, when you try to shine a light only on the positive aspects, something is created that simultaneously becomes 'invisible.'
The pain I am currently carrying, or the small peace I wanted to protect. I get the feeling that these things are being discarded as 'noise,' like old habits or things that should be let go.
Before I know it, a 'guilt for leaving myself behind' can quietly pile up.
► It is okay to keep holding onto the feeling of 'I don't know'
'What is it that you truly desire?'
There are times when you cannot answer this question immediately.
That might not be because of immaturity, but rather because you have a feeling you cherish so much that you don't want to name it yet.
there might be a feeling you cherish so much that you don't want to name it yet.
Instead of easily sorting things with words, stay in the fog, leaving things in limbo.

I believe you don't have to force yourself to let go of that sincerity.

The feeling of 'this doesn't quite fit' can be the gateway to change, but it can also be a sign that you are leaving yourself behind.
but it can also be a sign that you are leaving yourself behind.
Either way, I want to keep a close eye on that feeling.
Rather than coming up with a 'plausible' answer right away, try staying a little longer with the 'feeling that hasn't become words yet' inside you.

I believe that is also a sincere choice.
If there is a feeling inside you that hasn't become an answer yet, even after reading this far.

I would like you to cherish it and observe it for just a little longer.
