I seem to have been thinking something lonely, like only future dreams are dreams.
"I'm looking forward to your article."
Several people have said this to me over the past few days.
Since I started note, I really feel like I've just been causing everyone worry💦
I have a desire to share something, but
it's strange, but right now I can't think of what I should write about at all💦💦
This is rare for me, so I thought I'd participate in a project for the first time in a while😊
Yoshihiro-san, who reached 1,000 followers, is currently holding a commemorative project.
The theme is "Dream".
It's called,
#ProjectWriteWriteWriteProject
That's a lot of "write"s (lol)
I feel like I'm going to bite my tongue🤭
The entry deadline is May 17th, so I'm sliding in just in time🍀
If you'd like, why don't you slide in with me? (lol)
Now, onto the main topic.
Everyone, have you ever listened to rakugo live?
I first listened to live rakugo at an arts appreciation event I attended when I was in high school.
I thought rakugo performers were creatures I would never see outside of watching 'Shoten' on TV, or perhaps even imaginary beings, so it was a shock to realize they were real people.
And it was very funny.
That said, it is a memory from when I was a high school student.
Since I listened to three performances, I feel like there were three people, but...
I am certain the first person performed 'Tokisoba'.
I remember feeling hungry, as if starting with a familiar story.
But what did the second person do again?
I remember that the third person was the best, their gestures and expressions were very charming, and the final line left a strong impression on me, but that is all.
Hehe. Memories are unreliable (lol).
In that case, you might wonder, 'Why did you suddenly start talking about that?'
The theme of this project is "dreams," but in truth, I don't really have much of a connection to "dreams."
Even when it comes to future dreams, I was always too busy dealing with reality, so it was a student life where it was hard to envision dreams.
Besides, I'm not really the type to remember my dreams when I'm sleeping either💦
"I had a nice dream"
"I had a really bad dream"
That's about it.
In a way, I think I might be lucky that I don't remember the contents of my nightmares?😅
So, at first, I felt lonely thinking that I wouldn't be able to participate in this project.
But the other day, I remembered the final words of the third rakugo performer.
That was,
"Let's stop, it would be a shame if it turned out to be a dream again."
is what it was.
The reason I remembered this final line from the performance called "Shibahama" was because I watched the first episode of the anime "Akane-banashi" that started this season.
An anime about a high school girl who starts running toward becoming a shin-uchi.
My dream is to become a headliner and prove that the rakugo of my father, who was expelled after performing this 'Shibahama' as his final act, was truly 'interesting'.
A 'story of dreams' that this anime, where many dreams intersect, reminded me of.
That's right.
I was certainly dreaming during that time.
It wasn't my own dream, nor was it a dream I had while sleeping.
But, a dream-like moment.
When I am reading articles on note, I am also having many dreams.
The fluffy, elusive time that feels like walking above the clouds is truly dreamlike.
Following the words of the noter who wrote the article.
Walking through a world I don't know.
Seeing feelings I don't know.
Just like how I was captivated by the expressions and gestures of a rakugo performer when I was a high school student.
And then I remember.
"It would be bad if it became a dream again."
That is surely a signal to pull me back to everyday life.
I don't have anything that looks like a dream, but I cannot live just by being wrapped in someone else's dream.
When I wash my face with those sharp, cold words and wake up wide awake, my new day begins again.
I have to do the laundry, take out the trash, prepare meals, clean, and go shopping, and unexpected problems that make me wonder "why did that happen?" are mass-produced every day.
Even so, I have to eat delicious food properly and rest my body.
Before I know it, I don't have the luxury of dreaming years ahead, and the day ends, becoming the time for nighttime dreams.
But it is precisely after such a life that small dreams will surely come to life.
Until then, I will come here to dream again when the day is over.
Days spent sharing happiness through someone else's dreams are also wonderful times.
And someday, I hope to be able to laugh and talk with my loved ones about having had a good dream.
⋯⋯Though the stage might just be a veranda and the only companion a cat😅
When there are no guests on the veranda, maybe I should look for someone to toast with tea and yokan?
So, with that in mind,
